gonna go ahead and give another answer. Ive got a fine example of why i am losing interest.. If you own eso on xbox go on into vivec on NA and try to pvp, try to 1v1 1vx or zerg, and please let me know how it goes :):D

Not a fan of the housing .. will not buy scam crates .... heard bad things about morrowind and or there the lack of actual content in a expan or whatever wonderful name ZOS has given it to hoodwink more money out of customers ( so I prob won't buy it until it's really cheap ).. I play a hour or so then get bored and move on to something else ...
I love to grind crap and so on but games to money focused instead of customer focused..

I mainly play it for pvp and that is starting to become a little boring at times. I thought battlegrounds would be more fun than it actually turned out to be. Doesn't feel rewarding either.

I've actually become more interested in the game as of late after having taken a break for a few months. Not really for lack of interest, just other games to play and other things to do and all.

There does not seem to be any rewarding content other than VMA and certain motifs that locked behind a ridiculous RNG. Most of the potential rewards that should have been in game and unlockable were sourced into the cash shop. Also, the schools of magic are missing from the game-a huge chunk of ES-ness-totally missing from the game.

unsubbed. PVE content done, trials done, vmsa done. not gonna buy morrowind. i don't care about achievements. PVP still keeps me interested in the game from time to time. diablo's new necromancer gave me a lot of fun. more then a warden. worth every penny. once the new torug's+oblivion meta comes to cyro I might take a longer break from eso.

Played 2years +, at least 3 hours a day and run a crafter, Tank & nightblade. Starting a healer soon. The only real problem I've had is with storage for mats, spending at least 1/2 hour a day moving stuff around my 8 characters. ESO plus has resolved this instantly (5 of these were mules) In my opinion it just gets better

And as a huge fan of the game, I was surprised how my interest went down the tubes, think it started when so many of my friends left and the never ending cheating and exploiting that continues to go on to this date, that is a game killer for me.

I'm tired of trying to gear up and improve my skills for hard content (vMA first completion) only to have gear, skills and resource changes before I get the chance. One balance patch a year I reckon, not one every 3 months. Normal dungeons I can solo, can hardly survive vet modes. I grow weary of it

I am interested/invested in ESO but feel it tapering off a bit
I leave a game when I get bored of looking at the same scenery. Up unto that point I am pretty intensely there every day and on related forums. Since I know how to make games myself I don't feel as trapped as some. But TESO is missing enough elusive elements I cannot really see me being here two years from now.

    What TESO has:

    1) No forced subscription or feeling like I have been shorted without subbing.
    2) Best crafting system in an mmo. Not grindy.
    3) More respectful to the pve contingent than other mmo's. There is a pve open'ish lively world.
    4) Consistent lore. I hate a game with alternate realities. It's sloppy writing.
    5) Interesting explore spots with expanded basements, etc.
    6) Housing was a good addition.
    7) WW and vamp with disease being spread thru playerbase.

What TESO could use (outside the obvious better servers less crashing and lag):

    1) A little more for the solo player and wife-n-husband teams and rp'ing immersives. I want to see family friendly dungeons. Five man teams suck and cause fights. I want to see marry'able npcs with matching npc children. I want a barber shop in game and less pointing to a cash shop. Gambling needs removed.
    2) Separate pvp from pve instead of nerfing, nerfing, nerfing. Not just armor. Why have the beginner zone mobs been nerfed? Less wolves and ifrits don't stagger anymore.
    3) Open up more landscape houses for exploration. Locked doors are annoying.
    4) Don't put every newly added thing in the cash shop or behind a dlc/expansion paywall. Focus on putting more behind base game achievements. Give people a reason to brag this game is the best not just another greedy customer milking corp (stares hard at gambling crates).
    5) Could use more vamp/ww role playing friendly activities.
    6) Could have used a Mabinogi-like pet system instead of the useless cosmetic critters. I would love a doggo that helped pick nodes. Or a moon-kitty that gave my vampire a speed boost when out. Something creative, new, and interesting and not carbon copy pasted from boring games.

ATM TESO has the best pve mmorpg. But the future promises many niche mmo's that will lure the crowds away. There will always be core players. Eventually people will learn not to gamble. Those who don't learn fast enough will be culled by cruel mother-nature's survival of the smartest.

How can you compare the necromancer in another game to a class in this game that is only playable through content you haven't got?

    I'm mostly detached/disinterested in ESO
Im not going to fully blame this on ESO or ZOS. This is something Ive always had an issue with when it comes to MMOs after a certain point in the storyline/development. Ive always gotten to a point where an MMO feels stagnant and uninteresting due to playing through the majority if not all of the story and then not having much else to focus on. I do PvP but if Im looking to do PvP for long extended times Id rather play Rainbow Six: Siege or Battlefield. So any PvP I do here is for a change of pace and a quick excursion from PvE. Dungeons and Trials...Ill do them mostly for the initial story but wont really jump back into them over and over...They just arent that fun for me. Ill still run them if friends or guildies need a body. But I mostly play MMOs for the story, especially here in ESO. And Ive run out of that to do. And thats mostly my own doing and because of how long Ive been playing the game.

Ive run the Ebonheart Pact Storyline 5 times now. And its sort of burnt me out because I ran the Aldmeri Dominion Storyline and didnt pay as much attention to it. And even less with the Daggerfall Covenant Storyline. And for the last year or so Ive just been running dailies and focusing on farming Motifs or other random goals Ive given myself like CP grinding or buying up the last Bank Upgrades before Morrowind dropped. And this grinding has only made my disinterest in ESO worse.

But I think the tipping point recently was Morrowind. I havent even gotten around to finishing the storyline. The place is beautiful and brings back a lot of memories. But the zone feels so hollow content wise. And I dont know if Im imagining it or if its really that lacking. Sure on a new character itll take you a while to get through all of the story. But you go to a new city or location and you have maybe 2 quests or questlines. 1 that is extremely short and easily finished and then the 2nd that is extremely lengthy but when you really step back and look at it. Its just a really drawn out fetch quest. Sure it has a story, but the vast majority of your time isnt spent experiencing the story. Its running through the muck to go fetch something before the NPC will drop more tidbits of story. And maybe its because you know Morrowind isnt really threatened because Vivec will survive and Vivec City will survive well into the 3rd Era but the story doesnt feel as engaging.

Compare this to Wrothgar that had a very different story than what we've seen before and since in ESO. I couldnt wait to get to the next part of the story in Wrothgar and the fetch quests didnt feel that dry and tedious. I still visit Wrothgar from time to time and to this day notice things I never noticed before. But I cant say the same about Morrowind. Ive been from coast to coast and feel as if Im not going to notice anything new or different if I was to run through the area again.

And I dont really want to get too much into the balance changes. But I worked hard to get my characters strong and able to stand their own. Sure there was some OP things going on especially in PvP. 20v1 fights that took far too long to kill the 1 guy. But ZOS took something from anyone with endgame characters. They took our sense of accomplishment away from us. Now the fighting isnt fun but tedious. I havent even bothered to change my setups to adjust for the new meta. Mostly because Im not in the game as much or as often. But also because I cant bring myself to invest that energy and time into changing something that was in my eyes absolutely a waste.

The poll is weighted towards degrees of negative. Not so very much relevant.

I am much more invested than I was six months ago, due in large degree to the introduction of housing, which has helped me enjoy ALL the game content more. Prior to housing, AI might have played once or twice a week, at most. Since its introduction I've been playing every day.

Tendency of the game shows that with every single patch its only getting worse. This is nothing happening since 6 month, its actually since more than a year now. Biggest issue for me is screwing up in general class/combat balance more and more, instead of getting back to the good old patterns from 1.5 - 2.2. Classes losing diversity due to using same skills (especially stamina variants), PVE content is too easy, economy is screwed by bots and we still facing lag issues in PVP. Back in a day they put more processing from client side to server side to prevent massive botting spree. Unfortunately they screwed performance in Cyrodil that way. Currently we are facing lag and bot issue same time. They might as well put more on a client side and start some massive bot banning project. PVP in general benefits greatly mostly for zerg scrubs and proctards. RNG is a ***, at least in HoR more traits will be viable. The worst about Zose is that they are just casually introducing patch with new zone, next patch brings outdated motives to the zone. But after that there is really not a single reason to coming back there. The biggest potential is lost in IC DLC, these flags are some kind of a joke with current respawn system. Zenimax do no longer care about customer's gameplay experience, they only care about money. Or at least that is clear for me after over a year of poor gameplay experience without a change and Zenimax working mostly on crown store milking.

I'm struggling to stay interested/invested in ESO
I have finally come to the point of struggling to stay invested. As a PvE player who is here primarily for the questing and exploring, I ran out of content to keep me interested long ago. I've made multiple characters and played each of them all the way through Cadwell's Gold plus DLCs. I cannot afford to pay for fancy expansions and it has just been far too long since good DLC content was released.

At this point, I log in daily to keep my guild store listings up and do writs, because I know I will want to play more at some point so I might as well continue making money. But I really need another Orsinium-type DLC to bring me back in, and I fear that we will not ever see that now that pricey expansions are a reality. So I'm not sure what the future will hold for me.
