(4 items) Adds 967 Max Magicka
(5 items) While you have pets active, increase Max Magicka by 4000
Which adds up to 6901 magicka.
For HotR, it'll look like this:
(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(5 items) While you have pets active, increase Max Magicka by 3150
Which is 6440 magicka.
It's only a 461 magicka difference. It's a seriously minuscule nerf. Everyone seems to be forgetting that 2-4 piece bonuses are being buffed.

You do know shadowrend has 10% uptime max right?

Sorc pet builds will be unkillable in a 1v1. That made me chuckle.
No class is unkillable in a 1v1. Just gotta figure out that class's weakness in a single rotation.
I do understand that a pet build sorc won @Quantum_V dueling tournament last month if I'm not mistaken?

Realistically a pet sorcs biggest weakness is when they have to resummon, and the pets are so easy to kill. Although this should be obvious.

why nerf the sets 90% of players play and spend a considerable amount of time to farm?
none likes trials.gather 12 ppl to group is already hard-not enough time-most play solo etc-some of reasons
inv space isnt infinite so we can store every weapon/armor for future use cause we dont know what next patch nefrs
took me almost a year to gather all my gear for my 14 toons and lots of money for gold enchantments, mats etc
now within one month you decide all this is crap-or outdated and must start farm again....
thank god i got all Julianos pieces yellow and use it as a base for mag toons

Julianos and Mother's Sorrow are going to be BiS next patch. Both are overland/crafted, just like Necro.
The problem with nerfing necro is that it kills build diversity. Everyone will be wearing the exact same gear next patch, where as before, at least sorcs and wardens could get away with something a little different.

I lol so hard at build diversity every one that pve was a magic sorc and had necro on nothing changed at all

Sorcs wore Necro or Netch
Wardens wore Julianos or Necro
Templars wore Julianos
DKs wore Silks or BSW
I don't know what NBs wore
One of those sets was just removed from the meta for no reason. More than likely, warden, templar, and sorc will all be wearing Julianos next patch.
MLGProPlayer wrote: »MLGProPlayer wrote: »Waffennacht wrote: »WuffyCerulei wrote: »It's such a small nerf. Idk why people are so worried about it.
Because now, it's a straight up dps loss to use in PvE.
In PvP, you're right, it's too small to make a real difference in why you use it
And they nerfed it because of PvP.
Classic ZOS...
Why do you keep saying that? They didn't say why they nerfed it.. You're just making stuff up and stating it as fact.
Because people were asking non-stop on the PTS forum for it to get nerfed because it enabled shield stacking in PvP. All their PTS re-balancing so far has been geared towards PvP.
It wasn't overperforming in PvE. There was literally not one reason to nerf it there. It was a niche set that only two classes could use, and even then, it was debatable whether it was BiS (for warden, it certainly wasn't).
Looks like a nonsense.
With a set like Julianos, you have +300 SP always, without any requirements; with necropotence, as a sorcerer you have to slot a pet on both bars (and it has to be always active) in order to have +3150 MM, which is roughly equal to +315 SP. Which means that if the pet is down for less than 3 secs out of a minute - the time of dying and resummoning... - you are at a loss (before this patch, it was 15 secs, a sensible value).
Now necropotence will be a good set (but not so good) only for wardens, with their unkillable betty netch.

Lol, if the pet is "pulling aggro" from the boss, then sorry, but your tank wasn't keeping taunt up 100% of the time. That's their fault, not the sorc's pet.
IcyDeadPeople wrote: »I think they have been looking at overwhelming numbers of people all using the same sets and trying to encourage build diversity.Stop nerfing good sets and buff useless ones.
I certainly agree, but it is probably a lot more challenging to buff 30 individual sets with completely different mechanics, and there is a risk that one of those becomes too strong or breaks something else etc.
I'd say recent nerfs to necropotence, sharpened, spinner's, etc, are reasonable, not so much that they become trash, but perhaps closer to performance of several similar options.
People will get booted from groups for not wearing it. People will get mocked for not wearing it.
Its an small nerf of 500 magic, however all 1-4 set effect except penetration and defensive get an buff making other sets stronger. I use an necro+julianos setup on sorc so it even out a bitTo tell if this really a nerf to pet sorcs we need hard numbers not people guessing.
