What I wanted from eso was daggerfall online a vast world where i could play how I wanted be lone thief sneaking into a shop
Or a mighty General leading a army of knights in the tes world

What we ended up with is a bunch of Arena where CC warriors all the same fight it out he who has the best CC balance wins

Been playing Elite dangerous does not have the versatility of FRPG but I am star ship captain and with the whole galaxy open to me.

So you wanted a single player game that revolved around you? Ever thought about just ignoring people as you play as a thief or forming a group in Cyrodiil to "lead knights into battle"?

It amazes me how many people think an MMO should cater to their exact personal needs. You probably should quit and go play a single player game.

I want living world that has other players that I can interact with...I don't have to be the only hero but I want my character to be unique and abilly to become the king or villain and other people factions striving to change the world

Well, this is a theme park MMO. It's going to hold your hand and dictate the narrative and tell you where you can and can't go and what you can and can't do. Sandbox MMO's are less restrictive and left to the playerbase to decide the content. Unfortunately, due to them being less restrictive and needing an imagination, they are much less popular and I don't know that there are any more.

That is what like about elite
There is story but I can chose to ignore it
I can do anything within certain limits eg I can be a pirate or bounty hunter or trader even do military missions for rank but each has it's consequences and Rewards
I can band with other players or ignore them....the game is big enough if I chose I will never have to deal with any body i don't want to.
Wish ESO was more like this

What I loved about tes games and eso was the story and quests

Which is precisely what you got with Morrowind.

I don't recognise any of your criticisms to be honest. I've been playing PvE-only since PC launch as a subscriber with no interest in the crown store and nothing has changed in the way I play and enjoy the game.

I would like a better trading system but that hasn't changed recently and I don't understand your reference to an auction house being linked to gold buying and selling. I only very rarely encounter bots and never come across gold sellers although I have zone chat disabled as it serves no useful purpose.

Dueling in popular areas was an irritation initially, but as with all PvPer-demanded activities it turned out to be a seven day wonder and I rarely encounter it these days.

If Elite Dangerous and Diablo 3 are more your thing then fine, but they're not a replacement for ESO which is a different style of game altogether. It sounds like you may have been playing the wrong game for you.

It just since morrwind came out ESO been going in new direction....it might not be morrwind but somthing has changed in ESO it's became more dumbed down more PVP oriented because morrwind added BGs
Like I said seen every MMO develop this way
Starts out fresh with new and interesting concept's WOW ,Linage 2 GW2 but soon degrades into farming, bots, Gold selling all to support instant gratification of the PVP

It was really time for PvP to get new content. The game hasn't become more PvP oriented because they decided to include a small bit of new content that isn't PvE. Compared to the rest of the Morrowind content it is small and if you consider all the DLCs it is a really teeny tiny itty bitty amount of new PvP content. The August DLC release will have more than battlegrounds has.
The content has been made much easier and that I personally think was a mistake. But a lot of people were complaining about not being able to finish content and that is the answer ZoS found.

And trying to blame farming, bots and gold selling on PvP is silly. PvP players treat PvE much the same way PvE players treat PvP. PvP players tolerate PvE to get the gear they want then they go back to PvP. PvE players tolerate PvP to get the skills they want then go back to PvE. It is players actually unwilling to play the game that take advantage of bots and gold selling. Farming is nothing more than a legitimate part of the game that some actually enjoy and has been in the game since day one.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."
