Yep, option for a Private battleground be good, only Guildies go Into the pug
SWTOR has weekly conquest which is huge for guilds and really encourages guilds to play together.
RO has specific guild quests that you can do each week that benefit the guild.
The fact that you cannot have a specific guild house in ESO is incredible. I cannot see any reason for them to not have put this into the game. It would have been easy and guilds would have loved it. Now that so much effort has been put into private homes as the guild homes it would be a bit of a problem.

If so they would not count towards achievements or daily quests. Private battlegrounds would be nothing more than group dueling.

That would be awesome

group dueling? guilds would be trading victories left right and centre.
I am all for more things to do in the game. What ZOS could do is introduce dailies that are meant for a group (whether difficulty or mechanics) and then the guilds can figure out what to do about them. Make is a scheduled activity or not.
They already do this with the Wrothgar and Vvardenfell World Bosses. Even though an individual can do only one of these quests each day, the quests can be shared among a group, so that a good sized group can knock out all the world bosses for a zone in one event. My main guild runs these every Wednesday Night and we get 12 to 24 players each week doing this.
So, really all ZOS has to do is introduce some hard bosses, make the quests shareable, and the guilds can organize around that.
