Does ESO forum need "Funny" button in addition to "Insightful", "Agree" and "Awesome"?

it was removed for a reason, it was being used as an insult to peoples comments and threads.

if someone has an opinion that seems bad to you, people then click the "laugh" icon just to insult that persons comment.

im glad that is no longer able to happen.

This was informally "agreed" when they took away the lol option, though I suppose a lot of people aren't aware of that.

Which unfortunately means that they think they are insightful when at best they are stating the obvious and at worst are just plain stupid.

Once upon a time, we had an 'LOL' option, but people found a way to ruin it because this is the Internet, so it was removed. And this is why we can't have nice things.

Well from how people described it, it was an all-capped "LOL" button. People often do that when they're mocking someone. Maybe a simple "funny" button wouldn't be used in such a manner. ~Pibb

This. People can interpret "LOL" as being mocking, whereas if it just said "Funny," it wouldn't have that same mocking tone.

People need to HTFU. If they're "offended" by someone clicking the LOL button they really do need help and I urge them to get it.

IIRC the Lol button became abused because there HAD been a Disagree button too, then THAT was removed so people started using Lol as a replacement.

There should be a disagree button before a funny button. I would rather see how many people think what you have to say is useless next to how many people find you informative. If you make 1k posts and end up with 2.5k agrees/insightfuls/awesomes, but end up with 5k disagrees, that shows much more about the poster and past posts.
