So before the this upcoming patch (now and in the past), sharpened was the meta/ BiS. But why? what's the big idea? It gives you like 4K penetration ( if I remember correctly) which you can just get from cp right? So why didn't people just put like 4K penetration in champion points and use precise or infused weapons or nirn?
Am I missing something?
And how much spell/ weap penetration do you really need?

Now I am a hypocrite...Because I didn't like to allocate points to over penetrate, because my light armor passives and weapon trait balanced me out, but now I have the desire and the want to over unsassy! Sir/Ma'am , you have figured out my game, but I'm only a little weakling punk with a level of 510 CP. I don't have enough currency to over unsassy,2 -

18.2k armor pen is the general cap. And there is a huge dps difference when you have 5k pen vs 15k pen.
To answer your question, the idea is to cap out armor pen. Example: 5160 from weapon + 5k from TFS + 1320 from minor fracture + 5280 from major fracture + 1622 from crusher = 18382 total armor pen. After you get that, you can then just put your into CP crit damage(Precise Strikes) and base damage(Mighty), and some in other places. In the end you're dealing tons more damage then going with a full crit build.
