Taking Empty Keeps In A Rotation Should Be A Exploit!

    They have buffed walls and NPCs, but an alliance that doesn't defend its keeps should lose them.

    Isnt it significantly more ap to wipe tons of people in defenses and attacks?

    Ijs they doin it wrong if they think they're duping the system.

    I think this shouldn´t be allowed and in fact it is really easy to counter from ZOS:
    just make keeps for other factions untakenable, by giving any enemy player which comes close to, lets say; 900 meters of this just taken keep die instantly, get ripped of all AP he/she gathered that day so far and kicked out of cyro for 3 days. The keep should so be in the faction who just took it for 5 days, and first at th 6th day should 1 other faction be allowed to siege it for 30 minutes, if fail all who sieged catch same penalty like the earlier mentioned.
    After 30 minutes the 3d faction have a try for another 30 minutes. If the defenders lose there keep, they get the same sanction as above. So PvP comes a lot mkore playable, cause after a few days almost all banned from cyro and we have no more lags and rollbacks.

    We need Empty Keeps, Empty Keeps are best for Elemental Surprise. Or was it Element Of Surprise? Most Keeps should be empty

    Console PS4 has it's toll you have 3 full groups running taking empty back keeps in a rotation for hours without fighting you guys or should I say you developers need to set a cooldown time or something nobody is fighting literally at all! if zos actually put gamemasters inside cyrodil and seen what people are doing it's ridiculous and pathetic.

    This couldn't happen. It would break cyrodill. If you are looking strictly for fighting other players do battlegrounds. The point of this is to take keeps and get emperor and stuff. If these rules were implemented it would cut away from many aspects and quests in cyrodiil. A+ for effort but needs to be rethought.

    And I will say this style of pvp isn't for everyone because it's not just mindlessly fighting other people like call of duty, there is a strategy to win, if you want more of a call of duty style of play battlegrounds is the closest you will get or just duel people. As many problems as the game has I have enjoyed the fact that it is different from other games in the range of options of playing. If your mad at the people who chose to take empty keeps then waste your time being mad. Ill tank, gank, take empty keeps, fight in a zerg, and any other thing you yourself hate, if that's how I choose to play. If someone wants to spend their time riding keep to keep to fight npcs then that's their choice on how they spend their time, same as people farming on the bridge, or coming to pvp just to do daily quests in the towns. Zenimax will never ban or punish people for playing the game within the parameters of the rules. If it concerns you that they aren't just fighting other people then it shouldn't really bug you, it affects you very very little, and if you care about it because they are taking your keeps then like others have said keep eyes at each keep and defend because they are doing what the scoring set up requires to win the campaign. You can kill 1000 people and never die and still get beat miserably in a campaign because it's based on holding more territory than your opponents.

    The OP's grammar is poor, but I think he's referring to keep trading groups. Not attacking back-line keeps. The same behavior that caused a lot of drama and bans last double AP event.

    Large oticks are a big issue IMO. They discourage players from defending, even if there is no explicit collusion.

    It was another half-assed solution IMO. Gameplay design should encourage meaningful and engaging PVP encounters, not PVDoor.

    okay, just to be honest - my initial reaction to the thread was: huh, that's a silly thought, not my fault if no one is defending...

    however,, maybe some sort of mechanism to boost the keeps npc resources...

    I know the farm controls their strength, but, maybe have a way to boost those npcs if the keep is empty, or, pop is below 3 or 4 players...

    or, maybe, this truly is just a silly discussion...

    5 min cooldown before a tick.. so 7k ap every 5 min? What a waste of time. You'd make more ap actually fighting.

    Actually, you're doing a pretty good job of demonstrating what the problem is in a lot of campaigns, or maybe competitive games in general.

    Isn't the objective to "win" the campaign? Your alliance is fighting for the best score so that, when the campaign ends, it wins. Taking keeps is a primary driver of that score. The people who are taking keeps are doing it right. They're playing the game to win the game.

    People running around just looking to fight for "fightin' sake?" They're not playing the game to win the game. They're playing for their own AP, their own e-peen, or their own schwag. I haven't looked carefully at the scoring, but does your alliance benefit in any way if you're just mowing down people in the open world without taking a single keep or resource?

    The same problem exists in some of the multiplayer shooters I've played. The objective: Control checkpoints. Game starts, and 20 people run off and find their favorite sniper spot, then spend the rest of the game trying to get their "Boom, Headshot!" medal. Except, yeah, your team lost that game because you didn't do anything to generate points.

    How many players stick around to defend the checkpoint, even for a little bit, after it's taken?

    I am not good at these games, but just by me and a friend or two actually trying to win, we were able to do that game after game. We didn't have the best KDR or whatever the snipers wanted, NoSkopzperMinute? Anyway, not the most kills, but we certainly won the game.

    I'm not going to tell you how to play, OP, but the people taking keeps certainly aren't exploiting, or cheating, or doing anything wrong. They're actually doing it right.

    What the F is this thread xD. Its a good tactic to win campains or let say to depose and emporer to take all keeps they have left at same time with organised groups. Thats not an exploit at any time :D

    Isn't the point of the long game to ensure at the end one side has more keeps

    Why would you spend the whole night in big brawl making no grounds for marginal AP when you can hit the back wall keeps for more ap and ultimately more points for the long game

    Not an exploit it's a tactical maneuver

    Tacticians are in short supply in cyrodil glad to see some on the ps4 where I play are making waves
