Its an event for a reason.

I loved the birthday boxes for doing my dailys, people liked the little gift boxes from other events like the holloween event for doing dungeons they were going to do anyway.

I think just having more events would be better.

If it were up to me I'd make special secret quests somewhere out randomly in the world that would just be in a random/semi random location. Where you would get a gift box like the the event boxes. It would change everyday. But it would like a lot of these other events pull people away from the major hubs (out of thier routenes) and out into the world to go find and do these quests. Perhaps give business to the random out of the way traders as a side benefit.

It would be just as simple and inane as a lot of the other quests like midwinter and jesters fest quests. But you'd just travel and explore to go find these secret quests (which would not stay secret for long)

I agree with OP's point of view and think that the rewards for worthy should be reworked. I know OP limited it to quest rewards but I think the whole reward system could use a rework, including the daily quests.

The typical rewards for worthy gear sets are so abundant now that nearly all of them are worthless. I think most PVPers just get annoyed with the backed-up inboxes we get because we don't want to have to waste our time going through all of our rewards for the worthy to decon and vendor them. Almost none of them are worth selling so its frankly just tedious for me to vendor them every time they come in. I would prefer that other rewards are offered in the the rewards for worthy mail. It doesn't necessarily have to be a literal "Pelinal's Box" but maybe instead of getting another blue reinforced belt of the Sentry to vendor, I have a chance to get a siege weapon, alliance potions/food, alchemy ingredients, etc. which I'll actually use instead.

So maybe make it like 25% chance to get a set item, 25% chance to get a random siege item, 25% chance to get an alliance potion/food, and 25% chance to get another reward such as alchemy ingredients or on rare occasions a motif. Those are just off the cuff rates but I think reworking the rewards for worthy system to include additional, useful items like that would be a plus all around. It seems like a simple change that may attract more people to PVP and actually make rewards for the worthy worth opening rather than them just being a pain in the rear to go through and dispose of via decon/vendor.

Rename it to something else and take the Pelinal books out of it. Keep the motifs, the siege equipment, and the style materials and have it drop with every Rewards for the Worthy. Sure, why not?
