Looking for Fishing Guild

As the title says, I'm looking for a fishing guild to join as I putter through toward Master Angler. I've heard mention of/ seen threads for esofishing and Fisherman's Friend, but the former seems to be well and truly dead, and the latter doesn't seem to be responding in its thread and no longer has a working website.

I also seem to recall a guild whose zone chat sales pitch involved "catching fish, eating fish, and talking about fish" or some such, but can't for the life of me recall what that guild's name is.

So, if any fishing guilds wouldn't mind having me on board, please let me know by either posting here or messaging me on the forums or in-game (both/either are @BrightOblivion).

I'm also looking for a fishing guild for the same reasons as the original poster. Curious to know if they're are any still out there.

I recently joined a fishing guild and dumped them after 2 weeks. Didn't see a single fishing event, but plenty of spam chat about getting stoned.

I wonder if it's time to start up a new fishing guild...

The Merchant Princes (well - just me and my husband right now: we have/had branches in several other MMOs) is not specifically a fishing guild but my husband and I really enjoy fishing and we're looking to grow our guild. Unfortunately, this game works much differently than other MMOs and we're not all that fond of just random recruitment so we don't have the members needed yet for the good stuff.

We are a casual guild that is looking to get more. Traditionally we've been a crafting/trading focused guild but as I mentioned, we really love fishing. If you might be interested in building a guild from the ground up, we are @LadyMarisa and@mrurl42 respectively.

    Ciao! =)

    Sounds good. I'll be touch.

I think the problem the other fishing guilds ran into is, members group up and go farm their fishing achieves within a month, then leave. And the people who fish for the sake of farming perfect roe are usually in trade guilds so they can sell it. I do know of one crazy person in game who plays just to fish as he finds it relaxing, but I know he's not the norm :D If you do start up a guild who's primary purpose is to fish, it's only going to have staying power if the people who run it are consistent. How long do you see yourself fishing in eso for? If you're like the crazy guy I know, then the guild will go well. But if you're only fishing for achieves or to farm mats, it's going to get old for you real quick. Your best bet for farming achieves is to do a shout out in zone for others doing the same thing, and group up from your friends list regularly until it's completed. Unless a guild has more to offer than fishing, it won't be atractive to 99% of the player base.
FACT: Haters don't really hate you. In fact, they hate themselves, because you're a reflection of what they wish to be.
