As others said, EU rarely has these on Xbox now. We do get dashboarded a bit tho. Also try quieter campaigns, non-cp especially.

It actually goes away? I wait about 5-10min then kill it, did not realize you could wait it out.

It started before the event. I don't think it has anything to do with population. I just wish it didn't kick you from the server if you close and restart.

I mostly encounter long loading screens when I am in a large group. Even when leaving that group does not fix it, but when I restart game (and not join group) it is mostly fixed.

But yeah, you can wait it out. Takes 5-10 mins. Normally I would just kill the game and reload but with this event I don't want to wait in queue 450 again. Sad part is when you have long loading screen and you loaded into a keep under siege or at camp, after loading you are dead sometimes and you have to spawn and load again.

I literally got trolled by a load screen during the event. I was planning on engaging some EP that were capping a resource, and it seemed like at the exact moment I engage — load screen. Load screen then proceeds to last just long enough for me to get rekt, and then goes away promptly afterwards.

I never zerg, and for me >8 is a zerg. And still these random load screen bosses own me.

You need to kill your game via task manager, never alt+f4. Alt F4 will throw you out of Cyrodiil.

Sometimes I find it quicker to kill game process, restart and renter the game as it's quicker than waiting for the load screen.

Yup, I found out myself. This is clearly a bug, not just server/lag issue.

On PS4, you can turn on netflix (don't exit ESO, just turn it on), and then immediately jump back into ESO. It seems to get you out of whatever quasi-infinite loop the game gets stuck in.

A ready check or sharing a quest can also break it out of the loop.

They really need to fix these load screens though. It's beyond a joke.

From ps4 launch until One Tamriel, I always ran solo in Cyrodiil on my DW Magicka Sorc build (never used a Destro Staff on my Mag Sorc in PvP). Went well enough to hit Tribune Grade 2 by myself.

After One Tamriel I mostly ran in groups though (Thunder Pugs guild, 4-12 ppl - rarely larger). When grouped I used a different character, which was a Negate Sorc tank.

It always went well for me I'd say. It was fun to 1v1 the best people on the server and win 90% of the time

In Morrowind I rolled a Magicka Warden and played a lot of BGs, but stopped due to Group Finder being annoying.

Throughout all of this I PvE (mostly Vet trials) way more than I PvP.

That pretty much sums it up

Heh yesterday that screen got me killed. Transiting like a boss to Roe... when it loads Roe was freshly red and still swarming with Reds. I wonder who had the more "WTF" experience, me or them?

I'm on NA PC and have very few problems with long/infitnite load screens or disconnects outside of server crashes (which affect everyone on the server within the space of a few minutes) or my internet connection going down locally (which is a whole other thing that I complain about, but it can't be blamed on Zeni).

I did used to have a lot of problems until I built a new PC - better CPU and having the game installed on an SSD seems to help a lot. It's seriously like a different game now compared to the issues I used to have. I'm not saying all problems are hardware related, but new kit solved 90% of the issues I was having.

You know, looking at some responses, I am beginning to think that the loading screens are more a client-side issue than server side?

People with top-end hardware and top end connections (150 Mbps+) very rarely if ever see these screens, and the lower you go in bandwidth and hardware, the longer these screens get.

On the Xbox, the first one has a standard 500Gb HDD, so loading times are pretty high - plus, being on a constantly evolving bleeding edge version of Win 10 means the client is unstable and suffers memory leaks a lot.

I mean, when we do get a loading screen on the EU servers, they can be damned long. We often get them just porting around the tamriel map. Shortest I have ever seen (I have a UK VM 160Mbps link btw) for my Xbox is about 15 seconds. For cyrodiil, I average 90 second loading screens - and even then, the Xbox uses a shortest possible draw distance to save rendering too much on screen, and often other people will load in after I have loaded in, appearing as black shadows initially, then actually rendering after about a further 15 seconds.
