I get the "We're sorry, the Elder Scrolls has quit unexpectantly" white screen when ever I launch the game. It doesn't matter if I use the launcher, the 32-bit client or the 64-client.The game doesn't even get to the Bethsda/Zenimax logo before it crashes. I've done everything the WHAT DO I DO IF ESO IS CRASHING WITH THE ERROR "ESO HAS STOPPED WORKING"? support page said to do. Checked and set NVidia control panel for ESO. downloaded and installed all windows 7, DirectX 11, and Visual C++ updates. I can't change the ESO graphic settings because I can't get to that point, (crashes before then.) I repaired and then a total reinstall of the game. And I'm not using any mods or add-ons.

My pc is an alienware "17 laptop
Windows 7 home premium with SP 1
i7-4700MQ
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 765M

Now I know the best I can run this game on is medium to low graphic settings. I'm fine with that.

Everything worked fine until I crashed in Cryodiil on Friday night. Actually the game froze my pc on me and after 15 mins of waiting, I had to manually restart the pc.
Any help or suggestions would be great.

    It's possible the laptop over-heated under the load in Cyrodiil and that a component such as the graphics card failed either causing, or as a result of, the crash. The first thing I'd do is see if everything else runs ok. If other games/applications also crash then it points to a hardware failure.

    Everything else runs fine, I started playing Bioshock Infinite and Assassin's Creed Syndicate while killing time looking for an answer. Both are pretty graphic intensive games and they both run fine on medium settings.

    I have a similar issue. I get this message quite often in random days.
    I'm sorry I do not have any insight as I know nothing about computers. But there is something that works fine for me. I simply restart my computer, I leave it switched off for like idk 15 min or so, turn it back on and boom it works xD

    Erm... have you tried running as Administrator? That's usually what I'm told to do in similar situations.

    Having the same problem today. Was working fine last night, disabled all addons, removed the saved variables, deleted the UserSettings file, no luck so far.

    When I have this issue there is usually a nvidia driver update I missed. Check that. After that running as admin could help as well.
