can we get faction locks in PvP already?

base it around the month long campaign, when it ends and restarts.
when you enter pvp at that time on any character you need to select EP, AD, or DC you are then restricted to playing that faction on your account for the duration of the campaign / month. once its up you make a new selection again and so on.
and no paying to switch mid way -_-
no this will not prevent spying or what have you because people will always have multiple accounts or what not. but it should prevent a large amount of casual *** baggery from taking place. as well as possibly reinforce the point of the alliance war instead of people swapping to whatever faction is winning half way through.

HorrorShow✭✭✭✭I assume people most people have a level 10 of each faction just to que once and get the winning reward end of the month. I am just now starting pvp, but that kinda seems like a no brainer. Unless there is something that prevents that?

I strictly only play my 2 EP characters in Cyro. I'll take the others to BG and duels. Call it stupid but I like it better that way.
As far as faction locks happening, faction change tokens need to be created first. If we don't ever get them, we won't get the faction locks.2 -

Ryuuhime✭✭✭Nope. We had that before and many, including me, wanted it gone. I hated that my crafter was on EP and my main pvp character on DC and since I needed to craft gear in IC, I'd always be locked out of one campaign (since no option to unassign campaigns either), so I was very happy when they removed the alliance lock for campaigns.Edited by Ryuuhime on July 22, 2017 9:15PM10 -

Not to mention those players from another alliance on alts turning our siege around.
I still want to be able to play on other alliances but some cool down time between switching is necessary.

ploddab16_ESO✭✭✭Definitely not. If you're calling for this you probably weren't here when it was a thing back in the day. Being locked out of a campaign purely because your alt dipped into it isn't fun at all. Is it a shame we get cross faction spies? Yes, but we'd get them anyway. Skype and Discord are here to stay, as is cross-faction spying. I'd rather be able to get into PvP when I can with the characters I want to than to be forced to pay 100k+ gold or AP every week or so to shift my characters around.5

✭✭✭For me it's not even about faction loyalty, but rather having a balanced map with good fights. There should at least be a 12hr cooldown before you can switch alliances in the same campaign to prevent map farming. Winning campaigns sucks when there's no one to fight.

AbhorionSoul ShrivenOnly thing that bothers me are whole guilds making sister guilds in different factions to try to bypass pop locks, being rammed down the throat by both factions all the time when they seem to barely fight each other leaves a bad taste in your mouth..
For those saying "who cares about campaign win" explain why multiple groups make it a point to always take resources right before evals or attacked faction is all bitching in zone chat cause its happening.1 -

I mainly play pvp as Stick Princess on PC EU in Sotha Sil, and I have 6 of my other characters as EP as well. I do have one character as AD, but I only use it when EP takes too many keeps and nothing left to do but to farm people at the gates.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Unless Zos changed it, it costs AP to change campaigns, even at the end of one with rare exception that a campaign is closed permanently or the current event.
With the limited number of campaigns, only one non-CP campaign, I doubt Zos would bring back such a lock. We used to have more campaigns.1
