Honestly it isn't just pvp. They don't think about a lot of things. They simply have the approach of well let's throw things at the wall and see what happens.

Take for example the BG queue problem. While this might seem like this is another pvp problem it wasn't. The group finder has been a mess for PVE for months. The idea to use it again for something else without fixing it? Just dumb.

Take the VR system. You might say the what?? if you are a newer player. Yes there was a whole leveling system before champion points that was removed and the way areas play were redone. Because some people didn't like it and the way it made it harder to groupnwith friends.

And then the champion system. The system they replaced the VR system with. They recently had to redo. Even though, while it was going in, players were warning them. These points are to strong. They eventually had to remove those points because they were... wait for it... to strong.

I don't know if it is a lack of understanding, or maybe they don't play the game enough to really understand it. Which is ok. But then they need to listen to the people who do. But they don't seem to. They seem to just muddle along and do whatever they think seems cool, without much thought on if it is actually a good idea, or what will happen to it in the future.

    That's the thing though.

I love this game. I WANT this game to be successful and while I don't see myself leaving over the bugs and lag.. others will and when an MMO loses a lot of community it dies for good.

ZoS, please, we all love the game, just add stability. I would take proper working features and stability over new content any day.

Not enough of the community will leave. Even the ones that threaten too. What would they have to satisfy their constant whining?
All idle threats. This game will last, and the whiners will thrive. Those people do not enjoy the game, they enjoy finding fault, in their eyes.
For every whiner there are 1000's that enjoy the game.

You might check out the steam chart for ESO. Its been 60 days since the release of Morrowind on PC and the game is averaging nearly 12% less players in the second 30 days than it was the first 30 days. When more than 1 in 10 people quit playing the game one month after a major content release it's hard to put any credibility into your final statement. It's more like for every person who rightfully complains on the forums there are 1000's more who don't care that much about the game and just play something else instead. A year ago I had about 12 friends who would play everyday, only 3 still play and none on an everyday basis.

It's also hard to put any credibility into a statement that is based entirely on Steam statistics for a game that is only nominally played through Steam.

its pretty simple youll get a good idea when the next two quarterly financials are released. ESO will survive only because of its IP and gaming is growing. as far as MMO performance its not good it does not retain players. just attracts new visitors runs them through a gift shop after ever exhibit until they find an exit.

    @Tandor care to explain?

10 mln units sold on 3 platforms

    https://steamspy.com/app/306130

over 1.2 mln of units bought on steam.

    and this

    http://steamcharts.com/app/306130#All

I would say pretty good group for game statistics, dont you think?

there were not 10 million units sold . there were 10 million accounts created. huge difference. platform and PC combined youre at about 8 mil according to matt . jesus Forbes put the platform launch at like 600k opening weekend that is horrible so bad they wrote and article saying it was a wimper on the market , it did not start selling until they cut the cost in half so lets get a clear picture they have about 4. 5 mil in revenue. Now it did rebound for sure and sold a lot after but they have not sold 10 million units combined. Even Matt wont perjure himself he says we have 10 million accounts. PC which is the larger market only sold 3 over a 24 month period.

    Open world PvP.
No PvP channel for those that don't care.

First, ESO does not have special channels for anything and no channels outside of guild are global, seen in any zone (within faction).

The only place I have seen a PvP channel it was faction locked, but everything in that game was based on the character. Since everything in ESO is account based a PvP channel would not work in ESO. It would be used to troll other factions and players.
