Know what would be funny? If Miat put something in his addon that counted the number of times you used his services (times you dodged an attack because of the addon's notification) and either sent that to an online "leaderboard" of sorts, or charged you gold for it at the end of the month lol.

Most of the people complaining about his addon are using it right now.

I've have not once used an addon in ESO, let alone Miat's. Like i said, I don't have any problem with Miat other than the addon. I am baffled why ZOS doesn't revisit the APIs and see whats up there. ZOS included stealth as an aspect of the game, Miat completely neuters that with the addon, because he didn't like it.

One of the reasons for stealth in PvP is to get a jump on your opponent. ZOS knows this, thats why stealth is available in PvP. Everyone knows that. The game is supposed to have the risk of being ganked. The counter to it is either to build for it with gear, CP, etc, and to be aware and ready. Miat is given a visual cue on his screen when to dodge something. It's as simple as that. And that is not fair to the other player. And unfortunately you are right. Miat made the addon public and who knows how many are out there frustrating other players. it's not cheating because ZOS made everything available, but it definitely is cheesy and doesn't allow for an even playing field amongst all players.

And the truth is Paul Sage did foresee crap like this happening. Thats why right before launch he wanted all the APIs closed. Unfortunately Mr. Sage lost that battle.

Man, I would love PC to have a no CP no addons server.

Why people are hating on Miat's is perplexing... it's not the addon authors fault that ZOS left stuff that the addon is using available for use. If not for Miat's addon being made public the game would still be full of people claiming they just rock and anyone questioning how they are dodging attacks from stealth (or otherwise) before they land or before any clue of them could occur.

The game uses these queues to do a number of things... Things that aren't what the addon is using them for like: activating combat music, playing certain sounds etc.

If you want to see the extent of it... you can probably only do it with ranged attacks. But, if you know that point where attacks get the super fast animation, but do not launch (even though they do fire an arrow rapidly)... that activates combat music, even though the attack never launched. In other words... you can alerted of people targeting you even if they never actually were able to do anything about it.

Simply put.. the API needs reviewing by ZOS. The addons and the addon authors are not the issue.

Gotta love the "it's not cheating ZOS put it there" argument. Proc sets aren't cheating, ZOS put them there, but that doesn't make me any less of a dickhead for using them.

Trashblades being upset they can´t 1shotstealtharcher their way to victory like they do in skyrim.

It´s an mmo. You´re not killing npcs.
Every action should allow for active counterplay.
Instantkills from invisibility in whatever form they´re achieved are trash gameplay.

If you want trash gameplay play a singleplayer game.

Kk, you don't like nightblades and stealth. How do you feel about the sorc's frags being dodged even though the player didn't see the cast, or the caster?

Was in discord with a buddy, and being a scrubby little gankblade. Go ahead. Judge. (My main is a stamplar). Just messing around I started a snipe animation. Before I fired, he was blocking.

That is so broken, it far outweighs any fairy tale "one shot" builds.
