What is alliance war activity?

I have never managed to queue for the Alliance war thing in Cyrodiil , what does it do , anybody have any videos of this ?
Is it even working on PS4 ? I would want to have some more information cuz of the PVP event

Cyrodiil is a large AvA (read PvP based on alliances fighting each other) in a large zone that also has some PvE.

We are fighting for the iron throne. Ok, we are fighting for the ruby throne (emperor) by taking keeps, outposts and stealing scrolls and such.

Basically a large PvP zone.

Think op is wanting to know if the group tool for cyrodil is supposed to work, never used it successfully either always give up and jump in myself.

go to campaigns...choose a campaign (need more info on your character to advise which)...set as home or guest...join campaign, enter campaign...

you'll begin at one of the starter gates...look for the initial quest giver...do the siege quest...go find the grand overlord and report in for duty...

make sure to check the quest boards (bounty, scout, etc)...also, make sure to pick up midyear mayhem quest...

check your map and use the transitus (?) stone to find a spot where your alliances keep or out post is next to an enemy location (try to stay around the inner circle of keeps/outposts around the lake)...

either follow a random zerg or type in lfg in text chat...

most importantly - have fun...there's a lot to learn, but, just have fun trying to find folks to fight - or, simply heal and support your allies...

Best is to just enter a campaign. On the PC, use the L key, not sure on the consoles. From there choose a campaign, not sure if Home or Guest makes a big difference. Once a campaign is chosen then enter the campaign. You are dropped into safe area and from there you can join a group that is already there. Or pull up the map and see where the fighting is and head there on your own.

None of the responses actually address why it is the group finder portion doesnt work. I myself have never tried to use it. How does this work? Does it only assemble a group with a full raid? Or is there some minimum needed? Does it continue to check for people who may or may not be in queue? If it was more transparent and actually worked people might actually use it instead of spamming lfg in chat all day.

The reason you are seeing these responses about how to get to Cyrodiil and find a group answers your question about the efficacy of the Group Finder for AvA.

It may very well work like kittens lapping up cream, but I would imagine almost everyone who goes there with the intention to group already has a group in mind from their guild. And, LFG in Zone Chat works to get into a group if you don't while over there, they are always looking for siege fodder. So, for those two reasons, I am sure the AvA Group Finder is universally ignored.

Guys i play PVP for over a year in Cyro . I just dont know what is the alliance war queue for . Is it suppose to just form a regular group or do something extraordinary ..

are you a solo player by chance? I played solo pvp for the first year or so, finally started grouping and joined the forums...

i figured some things out on my own - by and large though - i didn't really know wtf was going on...

the last year or so had been quite the learning experience...been back solo for the last six months or so...

Edit: oh yeah, just click the thing and find out what it does - that way you can let us know

It probably tries to find a group with minimum of 6 players or something but you will only be matched with others using it but since it is so unpopular and like someone said most just go in and LFG it's become obsolete.

Wouldn't even work for me in imperial prison either and sitting trying to LFG in the chat wasn't getting me picked up as well putting me right off that place when it sounds really good as long as you have a group.

Group finder won't work in Cyrodiil, it literally is the last line of your post unless you belong to a PvP guild like Wabbajack that runs raids.

Tbh, the more I read your post... the less I understand it. Have you PvPed before?
