Over the years, people have suggested many things to improve Cyrodiil PvP. Some ideas have been good, some bad.

This one is very, very, very bad.

You'd reduce PvP to racial clumps banking and saving their buffs--and some of these are so OP that it would be pointless to run in a "not racial" group (and would promote faction imbalance outside of Any Race, Any Alliance players).

Not to mention it adds another mechanical advantage to group play that would be denied to solo/small group players.

And I disagree with you about there not being enough people to support a new campaign. There are plenty of people in the Zos staff and dedicated PVPers who love the Elder Scrolls. We just need to think big and not small. An idea like this will be less zergy also, because of the skill base of race buffs.

Honestly, every new PvP-thing that gets added doesn't really get that many new PvP'ers, it only splits up the current PvP-community.
If we had 30 campaigns for ideas like this, then we're all better off sending out duel requests in cities for our PvP needs. And then all those PvE guys will complain again, because we shouldn't duel in the middle of a major and high populated city.

That's actually good we don't want that many people to start. Less will be better for the server as I mentioned before. Thus once more people find out about how fun the opportunity is, slowing things down siege wise and really utilizing the keeps; people will eventually flock to it.

New idea. Instead of infinite for 60 secs, you start off small based on the strength of your keep. Maybe everyone starts with the ultimate lasting 10 secs, and if you lose your keep your races buff duration will not increaese. Thus the longer you hold your keep the duration increases every 5 days. Every player who comes in will commit to a keep and this will be your responsibility to protect. Resources also will play a part in buff duration.

    Thoughts?

Just to be clear, you are saying here that having less people PvP will lead to having more people PvP?
