Do you just run in place?

On 7/18/2017, I was playing in Vevic champion from 9 PM to 1 AM (EST) on the NA server. Almost every fort battle (zerg vs zerg), I just run in some the same spot (either on foot or on my mount) and often miss the complete battle due to it. Is that common for PVP to do that? It very, very rarely happen to me in PVE zones however.

No, but I experience many equally or even worse issues in Cyro. For example:
* sometimes get teleported back to the place I was in a few seconds ago when I am.

* yesterday I had a 1 sec latency for everything I did, some spells didn't trigger until up to 1 sec after I used it and damage/healing done did not show until 1 sec later either

* Yesterday the campain crashed resulting in all AD players (and presumably all non AD players too) to get DCed and kicked from the campain.

* During that DC my character progress got pushed back a few minutes (I noticed this because a Skyshard I had collected had "dissapeared" which forced me to get it again)

Running in place only kind of happen to me some times

This is a poor poll; very biased toward specific situations. The only time I run in place is when I log into my other account when I'm on my primary account and that's a very rare occurrence. But I guess you're trying to make a point to ZOS.

I get that when the textures haven't fully rendered. used to get it a lot if I approached an undaunted enclave too quickly too. The worst one used to be the Elden root enclave.

I am using the poll to collect data in a small way for an issue that I had last night. I am just wondering how often this bug happens in PVP zones.

In Cyrodiil specifically, black placeholders (have it set to do this), I can move but everything around me is frozen, approaching any "zerg" action throws me into 6000+ ping, it resolves after maybe 30 seconds and I'm dead or I've missed the battle, I get booted to login, or the game freezes completely.

Skill lag fluctuates from playable (230ms) to useless (500 - 9999+) even if the ping counter stabilizes, my actions aren't being recognised by the server. Most sever lag happens when ground-targeted AOE bombs happen (Sorc effects in particular) even though I have visual effects set to minimum.

This has started happening more frequently outside of Cyrodiil too. Prior to Morrowind I had occasional fluctuations but nothing as bad as this.

It can be an zone boundary bug,
Only place I run into it regular is at the gratwood undaunted enclave.

If i ride from wayshrine to it I might get this effect and will run in place for some seconds.

This one is a noob in PVP, so it usually goes like this for khajiit:

1. come to Cyrodiil
2. ride her mount
3. gets one-shotted
4. rides her mount
5. gets two-shotted
6. rides her mount
7. gets two-shotted
8. rides her mount
9. leave Cyrodiil

Your subject is misleading. You should have indicted something like "Do you just run in place in Cyrodiil?"

Again, poor poll based on the biased nature of the options. Just trying to be helpful here -- not a slam against you.

Yep, and still that way for me at the Undaunted enclave in Eldenroot. I have to walk very slowly when I reach the grassy area where the undaunted quest givers are located (Eldenroot). If I move too fast my toon gets stuck in a running-in-place loop which is not easy to break out of (I also don't know if it's visible to other players).

I can not jump, type, or open inv etc either. Just running in one spot...
