It will increase the secondary effect that Fire and Poison can proc, both Fire and Poison has a small chance of procing a secondary effect which in their specific cases are DoTs. The damage of those 2 specific DoTs is what that passive buffs.

By damage over time you actually mean the dot from the burning effect right?

It won't increase your class dots.

So let me get this straight - that passive does not effect the damage over time component of Ardent Flame abilities such as Fiery Breath & Searing Strike (and their respective morphs)?

So the only passives, in the Ardent Flame skill line, which effect these abilities damage-over-time portion is Searing Heat (extends duration on both) & World in Ruin (bonus damage to Fiery Breath due to bonus damage to fire AoE abilities)?

There is this other passive, world in ruins or something that increases poison/flame area effects, i haven't tested it but my hope is that it increases syvarra's scale and defiler's proc as well maybe?
