Still Green CP160 Jewelry - Why?

ZOS, you know we can't upgrade jewelry, so why is CP160 green (and even blue) jewelry still a thing? The Cyrodiil set loot tables are always purple, but you kept green and blue in overland sets, why?

If you put your setting to veteran will you earn purple or gold loot.
Or am I way off the mark here.

This is only for group dungeons

    Normal - Green / Blue
Vet - Purple / Gold ( Leaderboard's only I think ) or the AP Vendor each week

@russelmmendoza One doesn't really have a choice when it comes to overworld loot drops.

If there was no junk loot, there would be no need to keep grinding to get the loot you want.

For the more casual players, nothing wrong with green gear. Mindset is more a problem than low quality loot.

Purple is easy enough to farm. If you rotate between dolmens for a couple of hours you'll have plenty. Also sold cheap in guild traders.

Usually I'm against "farming" of any kind and would agree. But the drop rate for purple jewelry isn't exactly low. I've gotten dozens of purple rings and necklaces from dolmens. Does it get worse once you hit CR 160 or something? Because as it is, I fail to see how this is an issue.

No idea what game you're now playing but you will not have plenty of purple jewellery after 2 hours, especially in the set you need. The drops have obviously been nerf'd and there's a reason why it's shot up in price for the most desirable sets (that and because the update has given them a new lease of life). Of course this is PS4, so no idea about prices on PC. But they don't drop 10 to the dozen.

If someone wishes to prove me wrong and is on PS4, then I'll happily buy those spriggans rings and necks for peanuts or will go farming for 2 hours and stand there in awe at their piles of purple jewellery they've managed to obtain within that 2 hours.

Right after Morrowind I had to retrain some morphs on my main chars, so I decided to speed it up doing the dolmens in Auridon and Malabal Tor. Over a couple of days I got 2-3 complete sets in purple Elegance and Spinner's, which sell pretty well: Elegance is ~3K per piece and Spinner's is ~15K per piece, which is probably the upper limit for overland sets. I don't think RNG is worse on console. Maybe the players are just more impatient of entitled than PC.

Because you are guaranteed a jewelry drop from a dolmen chest. 100% of the time. AND on top of that, it will always have the right trait.

Green jewelry isn't a big deal because jewelry doesn't have the trait problems that other gear has. What percentage of gear gets junked due to trait? Similarly, jewelry gets junked due to quality.

Because ZOS' goal for loot chase in their game is to have 30+ people standing around waiting to farm the same dolmen over and over?

I guess Zos could reduce the drop rate of jewelry by 90% and only have purple drop.

Maybe that is what OP wants. Clearly Zos isn't going to keep the same drop rate and improve the quality.

It's easier to get purple jewelry in Cyrodiil. I think the container system is a much better way to go, and I think it should be used in Overworld.
