Crown crate frustrations lol

Sooo I was amazed by the makeup, hats, and hair that the new crates has to offer. I really wanted the makeup but what I got was 2 dwarven mounts from 16 crates. I didn't want them lol I wanted the eyeliner. I never wanted, or got, any of the special mounts from previous seasons. Did they up the drop rate of mounts?

    That new eye makeup looks bad.

    Way too much pastel, makes the eye look weird...who the hell wants a tacky pastel eyelid?

    No. No, they absolutely did not up the drop rate of mounts. Trust me, I was hoping. :/

    @Betheny It's not the color that is the problem. It's the fact that it looks like the eyeshadow was blended by a 5 year old.

    That is the main problem I have with them, though the colours are pretty crap aside from the fact it's just one big sweep of the same shade.

    I was pleasantly surprised to get a dwemer bear. Not that I plan on using it because they all look ridiculous but, pfnall the 5 crates I got I only got 1 nix hound, which got converted to gems. Same with a repeat costume. So not too awful.

    Don't like any of the eyemakeup except the subtle dark lashes. The colored ones just look strange to me.

    Use crown gems to buy, after opening 16 crown crates. You must be having 100+ Gems!

    I don't think they changed any rates of anything, it's just the RNG and how the numbers of each rarity/item type weigh up etc.

    I do think it's frustrating we can't trash items we don't want for gems, especially as in your case OP you've got the rarest drop but wanted far more common ones. Maybe if they could let us trade down as a 2 for 1 tier option.

    lol I got these crazy eyebrow guards in my "bonus" crates. Nice that my sorc won't need to worry about singed eyebrows anymore...

    The 5 free crates held no surprises. 2 ugly costumes and a useless memento on top of a pile of other trash. But as it was free trash I don't complain. Just another reminder that buying crates usually is a bad idea.

    Rng is rng. Thats the issue with crown crates, I also wanted some smaller items (wizards hat from the first season, red streak hair, etc), but considering how huge item table is, chances to get a particular item are very small, so I didnt bother.
    I'd say you're pretty lucky, but I understand the frustration. Well, at least I hope the camels gave you enough gems to buy the makeup. :)

    Totally agree - I will never use half of the items I get and would prefer to be able to choose which items I want to keep and collect gems that way rather than gems only being tradable on certain items and only on cosmetics if it's a duplicate.

    This is why I dont buy crates. If Im spending money to get something, I want that something instead of the possibility of it. SO not worth it to me. There are those who counter with *turn what you dont wwant into gems* and Im thinking... I need 100 gem which means I have to buy 100 crates which translates into... I'll just buy a motorcycle.
