"Super Dungeons": A New PvE Activity

Let's have ZoS create a special PvE instance of the Imperial Sewers that has all sewer bosses available and a random assortment of Xivkyn Banner bosses in the tunnels. The dungeon ends with Molag Bal who drops 1 of 16 new monster helms, each modeled after his generals. A special undaunted chest will be available for players to spend new Soulfire Keys to get one of the shoulder pieces. More details below.

Here's some details regarding this "Super Dungeon":

- Players can't go topside (no ladders) or go in a faction base. The group starts at one of the faction doors randomly.
- Queue can fill up to a max of 20 players. Currently queued players can vote to start immediately.
- Enemies will scale in damage and HP, based on the size of the group when the dungeon instance launches. HM scales separately.
- HM boss fight is always at max scaling! Bring an army or submit before the will of Molag Bal!
- Defeating Xivkyn Banner Bosses within the dungeon (on veteran) will drop a Soulfire Key when defeated.
- Upon defeating Molag Bal, the Soulfire Chest will spawn and players can choose to spend their keys if they wish. Shoulders are BoP as usual.
- Molag Bal drops 1 Soulfire Key on Normal and 1 Monster Helm (along with 2 Soulfire Keys) on Veteran. (Helm drops are PER player and can be traded as per regular dungeon rules.)

- Molag Bal HM is available on Veteran: Read the "Tome of Indomitable Cruelty" and prepare for a REAL fight! Molag Bal will summon a total of 4 random Dolmen Generals to assist him throughout the fight. Two generals will spawn at 75% and two more generals will spawn at 30%. Molag Bal is invulnerable while his generals feed him power - you must defeat the generals first! Xivkyn veteran mobs, such as Crematorial Guards or Cauterizers, will spawn periodically throughout the fight. (These mobs are present during the regular Molag Bal fight, too.)

- If you survive the onslaught of HM, Molag Bal will drop 2 Monster Helms (along with 3 Soulfire Keys) instead! In addition, Molag Bal upon HM defeat will drop 1 random piece of "Planemeld Dominator" jewelry (only drops in HM and is always gold-quality).

- Dolmen jewelry has 2p, 3p, and a special bonus for wearing a matched Dolmen monster helm set with the jewelry set. For example, wearing a full "Menta Na" set with the full 3 pieces of the "Planemeld Dominator" jewelry set will grant the special bonus. Having mismatched shoulders and helm will not grant the bonus.

"Planemeld Dominator" Set
- 2p Bonus: Max Magicka and Max Stamina
- 3p Bonus: You deal 5% more damage against all daedra.
- Special Bonus: Slain creatures have a 20% chance to erupt in Soulfire, exploding for X oblivion damage in a 8m radius.

- Each Dolmen General has their own unique mechanic. Facing two (plus a temporarily invulnerable Molag Bal) at once will be a challenge!

*There is more (HM Generals' mechanics & helm sets), but I wanted to see if there was enough interest in this idea from the community before I wrote up more. The post was starting to get a bit too big! This would be the first "Super Dungeon" and ZoS could implement more in the future. I like the idea of being in a large "raid" of sorts, but still have the feeling of a dungeon. Trials are a non-queue-able activity for exactly 12 players, so this activity would offer something different. This would also be the first activity to feature dynamic scaling based on the group's size as well as randomly generated boss fights. No single Super Dungeon run would feel the same!

Oh, I'm aware and I'm looking forward to the start of Season 11 this Thursday. Blizzard knows how to design a proper pet class, unlike ZoS. I don't play ESO anymore - I just peruse around the forums while I have downtime at work. This was an idea I had and thought I'd share it, even if ZoS will likely never implement it, lol.

I would like to see something like Palace of the Dead from FF XIV.

But instead of a palace etc, it could be done with realms of Oblivion. That would be pretty cool.

I would enjoy such a dungeon...especially if I didn't have to run it with 20 other people, the option to run it with 4-7 people would be nice. I support ALL group content being pug-able though, bring a pre-made group if you wish, but leave the option for people who enjoy random pugs as well. I don't see ZoS ever giving us more difficult dungeon content though. Also not a fan of those particular details on sets(again someone who thinks DPS is the end-all and be-all of the game). I would be far happier with a set that gave significant boosts to all 3 base stats, making it usable by any build out there, but not BiS and must-have.

If I'm understanding this correctly, you are suggesting something to be added to a game, that you no longer play.

Maybe there's a reason he doesn't play it anymore and, therefore, there are conditions under which he might play it again.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

Sure, let's cater for a dude that no longer plays, I'm sure ZOS wan't that kind of player back to the fold.

To put it another way, there are many outstanding issues (spend some time in PTS) that need to be addressed in the game. These threads are a waste of time.

Actually, yes. Companies that take steps to both expand and retain their audience are successful companies.
Adding a different mode to the game would do exactly that, especially if it's just another option, without taking away the existing content.

You mean like adding BG's to the game, yeah that works well.

Sorry, I'd like to reply to your post but I'm in a BG cue that works as intended...

20-man super dungeons sound amazing. Final bosses with high million of HP or even 1 billion hp...

The jewelry set is just an idea. There could be a more "defensive" jewelry set added, too. The entire idea behind the super dungeon was to give players a FUN activity that didn't have strict DPS parse or group size requirements. If you are a casual player that only does group content for the social aspect, then this activity is aimed at you. Being able to work as a large group of players to "zerg" down to Molag Bal and his generals for some laughs is one way to enjoy the activity. For others, being able to complete the HM with fewer players or a faster completion time is their goal.

I just can't bring myself to play ESO right now because atm it just doesn't feel fun - it feels like a chore. I'm not a fan of the resource changes - at all. HA everything is boring. I keep in touch with the game because I care. I would have let my account gather dust if I didn't. There are a lot of players that feel the same way as I do about the game right now.

This idea might have potential. But what would we call it? Perhaps "A Trial?"

Technically, it's a "queue-able" trial. ZoS could always go with the unoriginal title of "Raid".
