Please no auction house.

After needing a recipe for a writ last night and checking all the "main vendors" who were selling said recipe for $120k+, I was very happy to go out of my way a bit and find it for $18k.

This would not happen with an auction house. I would be stuck with $120k+.

The current system is great. People are only after CP 160 gear or someone may need some items for crafting.

Trouble with an auction house is people drive up prices so much that any new player to the game can't afford to buy things at low level. With the craft bag, if you sub, it's easy to collect enough mats over time and gold isn't too hard to make in the game. That takes out one element of an AH.

We can all craft and be in 5 guilds. I'm in a trade guild so I have access to stuff if I need it but I haven't had that need. Also its one less thing devs have to worry about so they can concentrate on other things.

You can't have it because people are already entrenched in the current system and if a newer, better and more user friendly system was introduced, they would lose all that progress that they have gained through an incredibly flawed system when they could have been spending time doing something worthwhile with their lives. So no, you can't have a feature that would improve the game, because it would hurt a small but vocal minority who continually make false claims regarding inflated prices and other nonsense.

Two thoughts

1. Could be that it's the newer players who finally get to the point of complete frustration that they post a request for a good universal auction house, thus new posts every week or so.

2. Curious if ZOS has said it's never going to happen, why are the self proclaimed OG's wasting time telling us week after week what a great system the guild AH is?

Well actually you would have had it for no more than $17, 999, and most likely far less than that.

The reason there are so many is that a LOT of people feel there should be one. This argument is about 50/50 for vs against.

I was in the beta too but i don't count the beta as an actual release date, and my name already proves i had mine during the beta

Because that's usually what happens to people who aren't in trading guilds. It's why i don't even bother joining them any more.

Nope. I just haven't joined any guilds. Been playing for exactly 1 year as of yesterday, no breaks or vacations. I don't like that the whole account is in the guild/friend list. If I could just put my healer character in a guild and then when I feel like soloing say "goodnight" and go on my nightblade character and be left alone then I'd join one. As it is, there's no separation and I need "me time" lol

Nope we don't want one, it would wreck trading.

Explain the problems you have with the current system, as you probably haven't adapted to it or aren't using it in the most efficient way.

Lastly, this is a dead horse, and if you search there are other active threads.

100% no to AH, as a buyer it would remove the reward for effort on deal finding.

Oh there's no poll, I guess just tell the OP the market is competitive and feels like Wall Street because after all this is a finance game, not a MMO, this game was made to sell items and of course AH will destroy the economy like in every game, if they ask you about which games just never reply and ignore them!!!

The markets getting poorer everyday, as more of the people within guilds are already obtaining what they want and the ones without trade guilds just sit and can't buy anything, they really need to do something about the market fast

I used to run a giant mall in ultima online. I rented space out to people, mostly in the RP community, because I owned almost all the buildings in a prime traffic area.

Was it fun? Sometimes, at the time. Was it exhausting? Absolutely.

Trading on here reminds me of 1998, mostly in all the worst ways possible with none of what made it fun in Ultima.

So, what I'm basically saying is that the trading system on here seems like it took Ultima's system, removed every single fun aspect from it and made it clunky, shoddy and just plain dreadful to use on purpose.

I'll stick with selling anything worthwhile in zone chat until...well, hell freezes over, most likely. I'm in no hurry. Have fun with those guild fees and dealing with the worst common denominators of guild politics and human greed.

Me, I've got better things to do than pretend this malformed throwback to 1998's shadow is my idea of a good time.

An in-game auction house is a terrible idea. I can't understand anyone who thinks it is.

The game concept is based on towns and communities having their own cultural and racial attributes.

An in-game auction house would remove a lot of the need for a character to travel around which would be to the detriment of the game.

And why would you ask for this anyway when basically it is already provided outside of the game on a website.

Maybe you just need rethink a little.

Why not, every single other MMO on the current market uses some sort of auction house per server as a global trading device?

It's worked in WoW for 13 years, not sure why ESO went with such barbaric attempts to create something new.

Try to appreciate the differences, if you can't do that, consider moving back to one of the games that fit your narrow perception of what makes an mmo "good".

Just because ESO is different does not make it better. But, it is not P2W, yet...
