Do you ever feel underappreciated as a healer?

When people rush/speedrun and die to the boss, and blame the healer... LOL

But then, anyone can queue up as a healer and not heal. The activity finder role option is pretty much useless. It's a way to get in the queue faster.

I refuse to tank or heal for pugs... One too many bad experiences. With pugs in general. I heal and tank for guildies and friends only makes life more enjoyable.

TBH I have had equal trouble with guildies as I have with randoms, jerks exist in guilds too.
    Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

Never have i ever felt underappreciated on my healer.

I just keep everyone's health maxed and pop barrier and resto ult when needed.

If you're feeling underappreciated you are most likely not that good of a healer.
I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

I've ran in pug groups with sub 10k dps managed to out heal and out dps the DD toons. Kind of sad to see a toon with 630+ CP heavy attacking the entire time but it has happened more than once in my experience.

To answer the question I'd just log off and play another character if I truly felt underappreciated.

One wonders, how high did you set your bar of appreciation?

If you "pop" the barrier...does it still barrier?

False, we don't know where they placed their bar of appreciation.

I run SPC, Combat prayer, IA, Eledrain and wall of lighting on my healers. The best buffs in the game.

Still cp 200's will get one-shot by a boss then throw a hissy fit, tell me i'm trash and to "heal better."

These new players don't even know which side is up, it's so sad.

I have pretty decent dps, but a good healer allows me to put out much better dps. Same goes for tanks. So I always appreciate my group support.

If you are a solid healer people will message you constantly to heal vet content, you will be in high demand. That is thanks enough for me as a healer.

If you don't get invites or friend requests, guild invites after or during group content, you most likely need to improve. Even toxic/rude players need a good healer.

Good healers are extremely rare and will ALWAYS be in high demand.

No, because I'm not a primadonna who seeks appreciation for choosing one role over another.

This ain't WoW -- we only need 2 healers out of 12 people to do a raid so you better be good and geared just like everyone else otherwise you're hardly a healer at all.

My biggest annoyance is dps who stand in reds or apes or don't dodge or Block then yell why no heals when they die? Or I wouldn't have to do anything if you healed good -_- like *** off L2P sorry I don't heal stupid

You've never healed in PvP until you've felt the rush of jumping into a brawl while guarding your party-mate and watching them coordinate their burst damage with your Light's Champion/Stalwart Guard combo. Or guarding a party-mate and watching them facetank and drop a zerg through sheer force of attrition.

I've had two very bad DD in different groups this week catch agro one way or another- or just plain standing in stupid and the first thing out of their mouths was "healer heaaaal" sorry but, depending on how much dmg you're taking, nothing i do can save you.

One had the nerve to cop an attitude and he ended up being kicked.

As someone who primarily plays DPS I can say with absolute certainty that this goes both ways. Many times have I had to slot group heals to help keep the other DPS and tank alive because the healer was lackluster at his role at best.

Everytime I see a thread like this everyone bashes on DPS saying things like "DPS standing in stupid" or "DPS pulled the agro", blah, blah, blah. There are bad DPS on this game, sure, but guess what... There are also bad tanks, and bad healers. Get use to it. Just because you're filling a healer role does not mean deaths/wipes are no fault of your own. EVERYONE BLAMES DPS JUST AS MUCH (this thread is a perfect example of that).

Close the thread, and let it get eaten by the page 2 monster already.

Actually it can be. Just standing in a corner out of sight and spamming healing springs and the occasional big heal gets tedious in a hurry but really that is only required when you are greatly outnumbered and trying to defend a keep.

The group I run with the healers usually have proximity detonation on and go in with the first attackers. You make sure the first wave doesn't die and as the 2nd wave comes in you you get rid of all the negative stuff on them. The healers are expected to be right in the middle of the fight and moving with the main body. Healers will be singled out by the enemy so you have to have really good survivability and still have the resources to keep the group alive.

Kinda fun after the fight to see 50+ dead enemy around and everybody in your 18 man group still standing. For small group stuff yeah doing damage is more fun but for small group stuff the best way to go is everybody have self heals and one person just have a oh $#!+ healing skill just in case.

In PvE I like healing with random groups. Makes it more interesting. Healing Volenfell a couple of days ago the final fight with the three centurions (was normal so not as bad) one DPS ran straight to the red one and the other DPS ran to the blue one. The tank for some reason was running in circles around them all??? They were all between levels 35-45 and I kept them all alive for the entire fight. Was fun. Took a while but was fun. When I run with my guild most of the time I just buff and help with resources. No surprises and no excitement. Vet trial runs can still make things interesting though especially if you get a few people that are not clear on the mechanics.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

Well, other players in general appreciate my healing in pvp and vet trials. Most of them know that they would die a lot more without me.

However I don't feel appreciated by zos. Why can't they make dungeons where you actually need a healer and not just some dds who heal for a percentage of their damage done.
