^ This. And the set will only proc once within the 5 seconds of its cooldown. The 'consecrated ground' area is so small that maybe 1 or 2 enemies get caught by it and they usually end up moving out of it anyways unless you are standing still so mobs don't move around.
I do have a set of purple jewelry but I farmed it quite some time ago. Now it just sits in one of my characters inventory because I found this set was pretty underwhelming.
Unlike some sets, if used "cleverly" it can provide monster heals!
The trick is getting enuff of the adds to stand in the circle for as long as possible. If melee, you can just aggro them and stand in the first circle generated... if enuff stack up, it can proc on the dmg caused, and you'll get another proc immediately after almost on the same spot (never ending procs pretty much). Each of the mob in any part of the circle takes damage and provides a heal... get 5 or so to stay on the circle and yer basically immortal from the heal value EACH provides. Dropping additional additional CC on the spot to clock down targets to the proc seems to help. Single target heals are not great, and some enemies behaviour will immediately cause them to try and distance themselves. 0 -
Ulo✭✭✭✭Bit of late response but for what it's worth i can confirm that i have got a full set of Bahraha's Curse jewelry from farming chests in Hew's Bane and have never gotten any purple quality jewelry from heists. I got every piece from master chests, although i did get some purple quality items from advanced chests aswell, while using the Treasure Hunter passive. Took me about two and a half hours to get both rings and a necklece although i was farming nodes while doing it. hope this helps.

AdicusDio✭✭✭When trying to squeeze every last bit out of a build, gold (everything) definitely helps (at the moment, let's see how bad they nerf things after next update).
For example, running 4 gold + 1 purple on say Spriggan's, can leave roughly 60~ stam 60~ pen and I think 5 weapon damage off the tablejust from that 1 purple item. Running an infused stam on a large piece can seemingly make up for it tho. Might not be enough to justify for some, but it's like trying to road race on all season tires vs. actual road race tires, you'll see a difference if pushed hard enough. That 60 stam might be the difference between using an ability or waiting to use an ability.
Don't think 250k gold 500k ap are realistic prices though. And having to to wait for the golden vendor to "maybe" have a piece you might want, months and months later, is beyond ridiculous. Could give us an ultra Vet HM option (like say 10 million hp on standard bosses) so we can get gold jewelry that only has the ability to drop from the vendor at this point (if ever).0 -
