Still no Bahraha's Curse Epic (purple) jewelry?

Can anyone confirm if Bahraha's Curse jewelry drops in purple-quality after the latest patch? I still only seem to be getting blue quality jewelry.

I believe the jewelry is bop. And epic pieces of bahrahas curse only come from competing heists within the time limit. Get to it!

Again, can anyone actually post a picture of a purple jewelry piece? I was talking with another player last night who swore he had all purple-quality jewelry... turns out it was blue. I know that people have said that they've seen it- but no one's ever been able to provide proof.

Even if they do, the ever so slight difference between the Blue and Purple stats is pretty much meaningless. The Set Bonuses are more important than a few extra points of something.

Just because people spend all that gold does not mean there is all that much value in the differences between the gear. Certainly not enough of a difference to matter in a fight.

They remind me of people who spend $500 on pair of sneakers or $1,000 on a purse. Big waste of money in an attempt to impress someone with no real difference between these items and something just as functional that costs 1/10th the price.

But hey, if I ever get a Gold Shiney, I am certainly going to list it at some absurd price that someone else will over pay for as they are convinced the less that the fraction of a percent of difference in stats makes all the difference in the world.

Something else I've noticed while chest farming in Hew's Bane is that Svarra's Scales has been dropping only in medium with all jewelry so far being robust. Bahraha's Curse has been dropping in all light with jewelry dropping in only arcane. This is a massive issue for those that have been using this set for tanking purposes as it appears that the overland drops are no longer available in heavy or with healthy jewelry. I'll admit my sample size is small (only about 25 items total from both sets) but the pattern is clear so far.

No, it really isn't. I never understood why people go crazy for gold jewellery. The only thing that makes a massive massive difference is gold weapons.

I run baharas on my saptank. Not gonna farm like crazy for purple jewellery.

Look at the link above. 22 health per piece, so 66 in total. 25 more health from bonus 1. 22 magica and stamina from bonus 3 and 4. 22 more damage from bonus 5 per second, so 110 overall.

The difference is so minimal it's crazy how people spend so much money on gold jewellery.

dont forget the set bonus goes up with quality too, and some people have over 100millions (check streamers), so why woudlnt they waste some gold in getting teh extra stats,

+ dont forget passives , undaunted etc that all adds those extra numbers ;D

The heal from Bahara´s Curse can´t crit if I´m correct?? And since the healing in PvP (unless you want to use it in PvE of course) is reduced by battle spirit (correct me if I´m wrong here), is this set really that good anymore?? The slow is nice but I have to Believe the healing is good :P

I have gotten a purple necklace with cp treassure passive and looting chests and troves in Hew's Bane.

Edit: Not sure if it drops after the last patch though. I got mine months ago. I can still post a picture but I'll try to farm a bit and see if I can get some post U14 purple drops.

since OP bump, I return for k'nowledge!

slight derivation on a theme... so obviously all overland drops for armor are now light for Bahrahs Curse armor (which is dumb because it's good for tanks). The coffers from the questline and heists (yuck) can drop any weight, but I don;t understand how they work?

I did 4 heists recently and got for axes in a row from the awarded coffers... WTF? Obviously the coffers consider player level, but do they even look at equipped armor/weapons?

^ This. And the set will only proc once within the 5 seconds of its cooldown. The 'consecrated ground' area is so small that maybe 1 or 2 enemies get caught by it and they usually end up moving out of it anyways unless you are standing still so mobs don't move around.

I do have a set of purple jewelry but I farmed it quite some time ago. Now it just sits in one of my characters inventory because I found this set was pretty underwhelming.

Hmmmm... try the guild vendors. There may be pieces around there. You can probably use "Awesome Guild Store" to help you find what you're looking for.

I didn't even know that the Alliance PVP boxes drop Bahraha's Curse gear.

I'm not sure what build you're going for (because you want a heavy chest and the rest as medium)- but I wouldn't exactly call it a tank. Still, I'm a big fan of theorycrafting- so please tell!

I remember first wearing this set on a tank. My mDK wore Bahraha's Curse, Leeching Plate, and the Valkyn set (or Malubeth set on my NB) It was a pretty fun set to run! But, you're right, it has died down a lot. Still- it has its nostalgia purposes.

I have almost a full hvy set frm when tg first dropped. I need the heals 2 keep stamblades alive wearing what medium i have
..vigor and bloodthirst arent cutting it. The heals when mobs stack on can be godly... and with combined aoes all die with minimal effort.
