... and so on. Did all the actors have to do that, even the ones with chops like Nighy, Molina, McDowall, Cleese and Becksindale? And -- I recognize at least one voice actor who has been busy in animation work for literally decades -- going back to DUCK TALES and DARKWING DUCK. This will be meaningless to the under-40 crowd, but how cool would it be to use voice actors from the old Hanna-Barbera days? I suppose most are dead now. I know the great Mike Road is gone. How cool would it have been to have the voice of Race Bannon as a major character in ESO?

I'd take that job, too! I can do agonized screams, as well, I'm quite good at agonized screams.

One of my favorite ESO voice sounds is the Death Rattle or Death gurgle that some NPCs make as they expire.

There was an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon show called THE HERCULOIDS in which most of the main characters were large creatures... and the dialogue consisted of shrieks, roars, growls and something that sounded like "ih-ih-ih-ih-IH-IH-ih-ih-ih!" -- that latter was poor Don Messick, the original voice of Scooby-Doo and Boo-Boo Bear... probably gargling or something to get the right sound. I think Mike Road was the shrieking Dragon.

Ted Cassidy, Lurch from the original Addams Family, did much voice work for HB, including Igoo the Rock Ape on HERCULOIDS. *HE* would have made a fantastic voice actor for ESO. So sad these folks are gone, but glad that ESO employs contemporary cartoon show voice actors.
