Yes Magplar is beginner friendly but in end game content magsorc is easy mode. Just spam shields that are uncrittable and that's pretty much it whilst being able to do ridiculous damage.
People can say the same about breath of life but a magplar who builds for heals trades off damage. A sorcerer on the other hand can have amazing shields with good burst.
In saying that I vote 2nd best class as magplar. But still head and shoulders below magsorc1 -
