Unfortunately there's a major flaw in all of this, you can still easily manipulate the info that the saved variables contains. And if it were somehow encrypted you could then still manipulate the actual functions the addon uses. Because of these reasons (well, partly) I and not a big fan of ESO-DB these days simply because in the end it does come down to "you writing down how many points you have". Heck, the same thing applies to screenshots, without photoshopping them directly you can still fake your points.Achievement points are not just quest related. They involve literally everything to do with the game, from exploring every single zone/area all the way to getting grand overlord (hopefully without "role playing" at bleakers). Obtaining a large amount takes both skill and time.I mean, to be fair it takes time, but its boring as hell to quest all day long. Its a waste of time in my opinion. However a Leaderboard on the forum I guess would be pretty nice. This website you linked, which has been linked by others on the first page, does not require any screenshots/proof. From what I have seen it is just people signing up and saying how many points they have. Looks to be pretty inaccurate to be honest.DschiPeunt wrote: »You have AVA rank 31 in you signature bud.lol I have 27545/27545
You don't "write" how many points you have. The program reads it directly from the saved files of your addons. What would be the point of this tool if it was manual?
Also, that eso-database website is mine. If you have questions, ask. I can show the entire architecture.
ZOS does not feel achievement points should have a leaderboard, although many people in the community do. This thread started out as a 26k+ club, but has since changed into a top 10 list. This is similar to other website leaderboards, with some positive changes. Screenshots are required for proof. This leaderboard is open to all 6 servers worldwide and no addons are required, PS4 and XBOX players are welcome! Feel free to post screenshots of your summary page and I will update this thread accordingly.

Achievments are meaningless, i have seen player pay for emperor and pay to get the vMSA flawless titles and the recent double AP even for grand overlords. So yeah, some have the title, but it does not mean they have the skill. You wish to add an official leaderboard to this as well? really?
You sir have waaaaaay too much salt in your current diet. It is currently seeping through your fingers and coating your keyboard with sodium chloride. Achievements are not meaningless at all. They show that a person has attained a large amount of skill with a certain character and has also put in a ton of hours into completing various tasks all around tamriel. That is pretty sad you have seen people pay for emp and flawless, which would only be plausible if someone actually logged into another players account to complete vma... Which in all honesty is completely insane, I would never let anyone even think about knowing my account info... One could also argue this day in age if you cannot get flawless in vma, which was released about 21 months ago, you are pretty bad. Honestly vma is such a breeze for any half decent player now. As far as emps and grand overlords with double ap events, I don't really care? LOL do you think 50 or 100 points makes a big difference when you get past 26k+? The fact is getting over 25-27k points requires a good amount of skill along with 100s of hours on a single character... If your position is that you think achievements are meaningless because people can get help with attaining certain achievements, then that is fine. Step back and look at the big picture, you don't have many points on your main and you are not happy about it. Your complaint has been heard, and is most likely going to be disagreed with by all.
I have 25,400 or so and i am missing all battlegrounds and 90% of housing and the new trail (level 25 AvA) and i am not even trying
I will never understand the purpose of this, no matter how hard I try, I guess congrats

The irony...
In the big picture "achievements" in a video game are meaningless and possibly the most comical use of the word "achievement" people will ever encounter.

@Alanar you look like a diety. What costume is that?
@Jupinho can we be drinking buddies, but I only do rootbeer.
@sp_korshun you simply just look like a top dog. I see you testing the limits of the game.

I would not agree with that at all, the word achievement is actually extremely accurate... The first time you clear rak hm is a pretty big achievement for almost all players that do so, same goes for any hardmode trial/vma/pvp rank ect... I think achievement is the perfect word used for those goals or feats that were accomplished or achieved.

You told someone to step back and look at the "big picture", well if you do that then for example finishing your degree at university is an achievement, where as for example "learning" all 4 variations of a reagent in Alchemy for ESO is absolutely meaningless in the 'big picture' and is frankly a mockery on the word 'achievement'.
