You forgot one point. Loyal subscribers, anticipating that ZOS would honor the sub deal, you know you get 100% of the downloadable content as long as you pay your sub. That pissed people off when they broke the deal. I know 4 people who canceled out of the gate and I was able to convince another 3 people in my guild to do so as well.

Too bad my content filter is blocking your memes. Seriously, bro, it's a game. Why do you get your jimmies tussled at someone pointing out it's problems? I mean I get it it, to some people MMOs are srs bsns and should never be questioned for fear of the forum avenger, but if people aren't having fun or dismayed at seeing their friends list disappear who are you to tell them to shut up?
I don't really, I just like to give the people that whine about "expansion or DLC" a hard time, because that's what it is - whining. To me, getting BG and a new class on top of a new zone is not a DLC. As much as you get with this game for the cost of one lunch per month is staggering, and yet people still complain about not getting enough free ***.

Trial guilds are disbanding left and right. Like others said, if you have been in the trials community at all, you would know other people in the trials community. Its too small not to know them. Hardly anyone still runs trials on a regular basis. Only a few guilds (few being like within 10) that still actively run vet trials, let alone only 2 that post scores.
The scoreboards alone show that people aren't playing much. They are pitiful for a patch that is been out for 1.5 months on PC.
For those who claim "oh ppl have skins therefore ppl do trials," well guess what. I have both of the SotH skins and I haven't even stepped foot in those dungeons in months. Skins don't mean anything other than the fact they cleared (or were carried) at least once during their playtime.
Trials are dying, there's no question about it. If newer players were actually playing trials seriously, we'd know about them.

Just because I'm fine getting gear and re learning mechanics doesn't mean that I don't know what you are saying has truth . It happens in every MMO as they progress . People that don't slot bis are not as effected and will carry on but some of the population will go on hiatus or longer .
The fun of other MMO's was regearing, was when the new expansion came out gearing up so you can do the first tier of raiding, then the next tier, then the next tier, then new expansion! Back to the collecting better pants grind stone.
The difference with ESO is that when something new is introduced, it doesn't throw the rest of the game in the waste bin.

Wait, you mean there is no CP mode or ability to chose your game type in addition to the typically non-functional group finder.

ZOS are deliberately aiming this game at the absolute casual market now. They care little for hardcore trials and PvP runners.

Yeah they did double dip into our pockets when they decided to do that.

Of the players that have stuck around, most of them have told me that they are waiting for another game to come out (any decent game) so they can dump ESO for good. It's sad. Destiny II looks pretty mediocre and yet, because of how poorly ZoS has treated their fan base, Bungie is likely going to get the sales they want for their game.
Diablo III just released a new Necromancer class that's a blast to play and Season 11 is about to start on July 20th which features a bunch of challenges and special necro-themed armor sets to get. Then, of course there's Anthem that's currently in the future. Lots of people are looking forward to that game, too.
It's funny that hardly anyone I speak to is looking forward to Horns of the Reach, lol. They talk about looking forward to OTHER games - and the best part? ZoS is STILL silent towards the player base. A wise man once said, "You can't fix stupid."

I'm aware this is their game and they have the right to do whatever they want. They don't owe us anything.
But they need to be aware that in the realm of capitalism people vote with their money, and if people aren't satisfied they'll take their money elsewhere, and ZOS will have less people to enjoy their game.
