Suggestion: add Nirnhoned weapons to loot tables

Hello,

Just thought that given new trait changes, the whole diversity thing would profit from Nirnhoned drops for overland and dungeon sets. Maybe the developers can consider that?

If there are counterarguments against that, please tell, of course.

Nirn is still weak compared to sharpened and precise, so I really don't want to further dilute the loot tables with garbage. No.

I think the counterargument is that Nirncrux is supposed to be rare and it was originally proliferated by crafters learning a particular piece and trading for others, and currently the only source of Nirnhoned drops other than the one you get at the end of Craglorn are (and correct me if I'm wrong) bind on pickup. But you can only get them from vMA and weeklies, so you'll only ever be able to use it yourself.

It'd be nice if you could convert a set piece to nirnhoned and make it account bound though. Still only usable by you, but it'd accomplish what you're suggesting.

I think it depends on your purposes (pve dps is different from pvp I guess), but ok, point taken. Neutral suggestion, replace training drops with nirn.

    That I'd indeed prefer.

NO. Training has its uses for anyone below CP cap. There would be no reason you couldnt add nirn to the existing drop tables as a rare drop though(say one that only drops 10% as often as any of the others) this would maintain the rarity and barely impact the drops of what the "meta" considers more desirable traits.

Devil's advocate: training is a useful trait for non-max level characters, and many new players do start with whatever gear they loot.

I don't think nirn would be garbage in a loot table because you might get nirn from crafting it, which is devalued compared to the old days but still a fair chunk of change for decon fodder.

But allowing crafters to trait change items would be ideal.

The new dungeons are in Craglorn it would make sense to add Nirn to weapon and loot tables.

Nirn weapons should be added to loot tables if you wanted to protect Nirncrux you can weapons not give Nirn on deconstruct.

Keep nirn primarily crafted so crafted has a perk.

Please no. We don't need to dilute the loot table further.

It shoot be in the loot table considering it's about to be really good for PvP. You'll be penalizing PvPers by not including it.

How would you penalize pvp players if its not added to loot tables? No pvp Player would have dropped nirn Sets and nobody would have a penalty ^^

I think nirn weapons only for crafted sets is way to make those sets a bit unique.

For some loot tables nirn is already in it.. I do have a few Nirnhoned vma weapons for instance.. Can only come from drops there...(or from the weekly rewards... hmm, not sure...)

Ok, I see, not everyone wants this. Yet another, maybe a compromise of an idea: add nirn weapons to AP vendors' bags for regional equipment.
