Awesome.

Thanks it seems you really listen to players or are definitely making an effort. I have only been here a little over a month but have done A LOT of forum reading learning mechanics and what not and it really seemed you guys took care of a lot of gripes from the community on this one and weren't too heavy handed with nerfs like most companies always are.

I'm just glad its not such a bummer to not have sharpened weapons. Now I won't feel like I'm dragging down the dps scores with precise weapons. Ill just run the penetration mundus with divine armor.

Yes, I totally agree. Zos has often had issues with making huge sweeping changes without taking into account a lot of important factors and they always get thread after thread of hate. These updates coming seem to be much better thought out than usual and also took into account not only what the community asked for but the ways they wanted to see the changes done. Sure not everyone will be happy and maybe they didn't get everything that was asked for but I think if this is the direction they're going with updates then that's fantastic. The inclusion of the community in big sweeping changes is much more important than they previously thought. After all we're their best testers and genuinely care about their product so they should. Good job Zos

With no pronoun in your title, it becomes a command for others to read the patch notes.... I'm just saying, is it so uncool to make it "I just read the patch notes."

Yeah seems pretty good. A lot less people will run proc sets now that they give you a 1 second warning for incoming procs. And the nerf to sharpened won't really affect people wearing light or medium armor just those with heavy armor and sharpened on the front and defending (which also got nerfed yay) on the back. Now if you want more penetration you'll either have to wear Spriggan/Spinner or light/medium.

More garbage changes, I agree with very few of them(treasure chests in dungeons no longer being simple is a nice change that will ease the grind a bit). They are nerfing my favorite dungeons, nerfing sharpened instead of just buffing other traits up to par(yes, I know they buff other traits...doesnt mean they needed to nerf sharpened though) same thing with Mundus stones. These changes wont have the intended effects in short....some streamer will post some new video and something else will become the new "meta" just to be nerfed the next time around. I have an idea...why dont they make it so we can't equip weapons or armor at all? then we can run around not using any skills...then PvE and PvP will be perfectly balanced...no weapon traits to worry about, no skills to worry about, no overperforming sets(proc or otherwise)...nothing but player skill right?

Next they will nerf some vampirism skills as they perform way to strong in PvE compared to werwolf ones. Due to the changes made to the refabrication committee on monday (no safe-spots anymore) i.e., I've heared some guilds now demand their players to use mist form to avoid fatal damage and reduce the likelihood of getting knocked back.

The changes were more about balance and diversity and they succeeded for once in that regard. Sharpened on a weapon in it's live state is +8% (or more depending on PvP or PvE) damage which blows all other traits away. After the nerf it's still BiS in most circumstances. A lot of the initial math still has sharpened beating precise if only by a little. Now if you want a penetration build you can equip a set for it and/or use the mundus. Same thing with resistance now. Instead of being mandatory now it's just a good option. There's so many different configurations of mundus/trait/gear that are viable now. Sure, we'll see the YouTubers hit us with the very best but I'd be willing to bet they'll provide more options you can go with too.

Truth ^ absolutely everywhere I read this and monster helmets legitimately needed a small nerf. No big deal guys diversity is now a viable option. No builds were destroyed over this and the nerfing they did do to things looking at the math involved was certainly not heavy handed. + LOOK AT ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS TO ITEMS! Absolutely awesome they buffed what they did. I hope they continue this, I really do.

It impressed me. Especially coming from SWTOR, Path of Exile, and WOW where they nerf things into a friggin blackhole and take YEARS to make them viable again. 9 friggin months until devs in SWTOR admitted what everyone already knew 2 days after patch for 3 of their best and most unique classes. It's years from all those companies on a lot of things, sometimes never. That stuff is frustrating and while I have no clue what has gone on with this game in the past and this is the first set of patch notes I have ever read from the company, the patch notes damn near mirrored 60+ hours worth of my reading game mechanics and trying to understand the veterans complaints about certain things like the problem with sharpened, the mundus stones, and a few monster set pieces that EVERYONE chooses who is a min maxer or wants to be competitive.

Meh, I've just gone back to my other "tried-and-true" MMORPG's. I only log-in to do a small amount of daily tasks, then I'm logging off to go back to better run and managed MMO's.

I read the patch notes, I agree with only the smallest percentage of what they've done (the Chests in dungeons is about the only thing I approve of in the PTS patch notes), and there's definitely nothing in there that is going to make me log in more than the hour or two per week that I do now.

Morrowind changes were complete garbage. Those changes took me from playing 14-28 hours per week to a total of 1-2 hours per week. This patch doesn't make me want to lengthen that play time.

There's nothing good about the direction of this game IMO.

If you don't mind what exactly was the problem you had with the changes? I am curious because I love how combat is right now. My top player is only 110 cp though but I have quite a few alts.

I do not have a prepatch experience, but in the games current state I am really having a ton of fun. Much more than I ever thought I would in a game where you are forced to use the mouse. There are so many design features I am really noticing done different than a lot of popular games that are just logical and really help with playing experience. I.E. I can't stand how in SWTOR you are forced to watch or spend time even skipping ALL those cutscenes..omg lol. The little buttons you press in dungeons for voice overs and story were genius (so logical) and how you can hear them running away. I am a pretty objective person and so far can only state my short experience, but I have a lot of experience with mmos. Grouping and being able to get to your group members is a million times better than SWTOR. Waiting and hoping for the chance for a friend to join a group that was missing a person in a dungeon already started amounted to using the random dungeon finder for the specific dungeon and praying you got them...Only high ranking guild members can summon others? Annoying as hell. I still love the game though, but have to give zenimax credit where credit is due. If it hasn't always been this way I sure hope it continues to progress in that direction.
