Are there going to be MagWarden offensive changes in 3.1?

I was hopeful that there would be some combination of sets and abilities which would push the spec up to par Vs other PvE damage roles. As far as I've been able to find or personally attempt, it hasn't happened. Is the class not intended to be a strong mage?

Right now, my Sorcerer mage does more damage while half asleep than my Warden can while burning stats like it's still May. I feel like I made a mistake making one.

I do recognize that they're in a good place in PvP. Is that the problem? They can't be decent in both modes?

I agree, they need a buff for PvE DPS. Maybe buffing one of the DOTs (that ice thingy or the fetcher flies) could be a option, since the other damage abilities are very strong in PvP already and buffing them would probably make Warden too strong.

Probably not this patch. Mag wardens need quite some heavy rework to make them pve competitive, so expect it a couple patches from now.

Meanwhile you can dps as stam warden tho, they are pretty good.

Man I hope so. I've been leveling one up just in case they buff them. They will indeed need a ton of work though. The potential is there. Take another look at the passives to start. I think they should make fetcher an execute since the class doesn't have one. Winter's Embrace needs more damage based skills to utilize the passive that boosts cold damage. Right now there's an ok ultimate, a decent AoE, 3 shields, and a teleport. They should add an ice AoE to Frost Cloak so it behaves like Boundless Storm. I get that if you're a magicka warden ice staff tank then it's pretty good but that's really silly to push such a specific build type. Bird of Prey's minor berserk should last longer to make it more worth slotting, 15 seconds maybe or even double. That would be a good start

Those are some good ideas, but i think the first priority got to be to let the bear single be single barred it. It's functionality is too straight forward to occupy both ult slots, and can't really compete with the utility that brings a second ult for pvp nor the aoe for pve, even when it's single target dmge is fine. Not to mention the pathing issues it still probably has.

Increase proc cost to 85, move some dmge from the basic attacks to the proc, so you got to choose aoe/utility or single dmge, split the dmge into 2 hits, so it's not too oppresive for pvp, and allow us to single bar it.

    Most likely no.

I just want them to bug fix Swarm (counts as Direct Damage instead of DoT) and Winter's Revenge (has much lower Crit Chance than it should have).

I would love to see mag wardens do reasonable dps in PvE but they have to be VERY careful with buffing them, the damage they do already in PvP is ridiculous, on par with sorc burst without needing a proc and an execute. One of my best Wardens regularly crits 10k+ birds on players in 5 impen, *** nuts.
