New weapon skill lines

Elemental 1-hand Weapons (magicka)
Elemental two-hand weapons (magicka)

The elemental skill lines uses the elements (based on magicka dmg) to unleash flames, lightning or frost magic in melee combat.

Crossbow (stamina)

The crossbow is a middle range weapon that focuses on high single and small area damage. You can fire explosive shots, alchemical poisons, wires etc.

Staves are ranged and not melee.

Just give me a magicka one-handed weapon to use with my shield to restore magicka with heavy attacks and my magicka tank will be happy(having to be on my staff bar for that is annoying since it drops all my stats to swap to that bar, right when I need resources most)

Staves are ranged and not melee.

28 meter range includes 1 meter. Besides, the melee aspect appears as a mere footnote in the OP.

Essentially, it doesn't make sense to create a 2H elemental melee weapon when we already have one.

kill the loot table, go with token system for anything meaningful.

Pretty sure that got datamined a long time ago, wouldn't surprise me if Zeni scrapped the idea. (Not saying I wouldn't like to have it though)

How about Longspear/Pikes and a Spear+Shield skill line.

How about more stave options like a Stamina-based Cudgel.

How about an Illusion Staff?

How about a Disease/Poison/Corruption Staff? The Daedra and cultists and other enemies have them.

How about spellcrafting?

I'd love spears/polearms myself. At this point I'd take just about any new weapon line as I've grown really bored with what we have available.

you could introduce the fabled 1h+rune weapon line that also uses 1h weapons and no changes to loot tables... i think a more magicka oriented meleeish weapon line would be really appreciated
