Best races for classes?

Hi everyone! I am a "newbie-ish" player, currently playing an Argonian. I would like to share my thoughts on some nice fits between races and classes, after some reading and researches. I would like to seek experts' advice here if there is any other good choices or I overlooked something. Wouldn't want to end up as a magic sorc with wood elf :expressionless:

Templar Tank - Argonian
Stam Sorcerer - Redguard
Magic Sorcerer - High Elf
Nightblade - Khajiit
Magic Nightblade - Breton
Dragonknight - Dark Elf
Dragonknight - Orc
Warden - Wood Elf

Let me know if I made any mistakes :) Thanks!!

    Hey! I play a Bosmeri magsorc. And a Bosmeri templar healer. Both do just fine, thank you very much. Bosmer are the best race for everything because they are short and they are cute. :)

    Hi! No offense, I tried to make a joke there and that obviously didn't turn out well :pensive:

    While I'm not trying to min-max, I hope to end up with the more effective race choices to the classes :)

    Thanks!!

    I'm not a min/maxer myself but I believe the general "optimal" rule is the following:

    -Magicka Damage Dealer (non-Dragon Knight:
    Altmer

    -Magicka Dragon Knight Damage Dealer:
    Dunmer

    -Magicka Healer:
    Breton followed by Argonian

    -Stamina Damage Dealer:
    Khajiit followed by Redguard (melee) or Bosmer (bow)

    -Magicka Tank:
    Argonian

    -Stamina Tank:
    Imperial or Orc or Nord

    Not necessarily what I subscribe to but probably what you'll find most say.

    I would make slight change to this and say

    Any Tank: Argonian -> Imperial -> Nord
    Healer: Breton/Argonian (depending on set up, Warden more suited for Argonian)
    Stamina DPS: Redguard, Bosmer/Khajiit(Last two depending on how you build)

    But remember nothing is every set in stone.

    Woah woah woah.

    People be forgetting about my homie orc. Its extra melee damage, and stam makes it top contender for sorc and stuff, and its speed is also cute in PvP.

    Oh my. Forgive my own lack of clarity. I knew you were joking and was countering with one of my own - though I do run magicka Bosmer and, while not meta-optimal, they actually do work fine. Thanks for your graciousness and sorry for any misunderstanding. :)

    Honestly the only time where race matters is when making a dps. Literally any race can tank/heal well enough for vet trials. As for dps, all that matters is not picking a stam/mag focused race when making a mag/stam focused character. For example, you probably don't want a khajiit mag sorc or altmer stamblade. For most races you're only looking at like a few % increase/decrease to your dps which is not gonna make or break you by any means.

    Been doing pretty good as a Nord Dragonknight DPS with "tankish" qualities. I can't be considered a true tank because I rarely keep the attention of a boss but I have enough defensive (and offensive) qualities that I can stand toe to toe with most bosses and wield damage while rarely getting killed. I'm not a powerful, "one-shot" DPS but I wear opponents down while taking some of the load off of the tanks.

    Any tank = nord
    mTank = breton vampire
    sDPS = khajiit
    melee sDPS = orc
    mDPS = altmer (mDK = dunmer)
    heal = argonian

    Nords passive ain't all that, in most situations and builds the extra resources of an Imperial would trump a Nords and an Argonians sustain and survivabilty helps it more than a Nords extra resources and mitigation.
