Do crafting writs for Intricates. Also, decon everything. If you are low-lvl ask your lvl 50 friends for any CP160 junk to decon.

THIS ^^^ deconning will raise your craft level ... light and medium armor will raise clothing .... heavy armor and swords/axes/daggers will raise blacksmithing and shields and staves will raise woodworking

Deconstruct items (any will do, intricate items will just give more crafting xp/inspiration than others), craft items, improve items. The higher the item's level, the more inspiration you will get.
Also, deconstructing items that were crafted by another character (can be your own) give more inspiration, than items you just find in the world.

And don't forget to research traits.
