Undaunted - Trapping Webs - Morph that functions Similarly to DK chains for Tanks?

So, this skill is rather useless, and a lot of tanks prefer DK for the target movement of the chains. In order to allow other classes to have some NPC movement control, I'd suggest adding in a morph that functions in a similar way and improving the base morph.
Trapping Webs

Changes:
Synergy can be cast on any enemy damaged by the AoE (snared is no longer a requirement) (synergy remains for 5 seconds, and cannot stack)
To prevent a mob of spiders forming on bosses with just one player slotting the ability, The spawned spiders are owned by the player who cast the ability, not the player who used the synergy

This will allow it to be used in all areas of gameplay, and not solely trash mobs

Shadow Silk

Changes
-Synergy also applies minor vulnerability on the target enemy
-Carries over the same changes from the base skill

Makes it a nice damage oriented synergy

Tangling Webs - Changed to : Gripping Web

Changes:
-Becomes single target ability
-Has reduced range (15m)
-No longer fears
-pulls the target enemy to you
-successful pulls place the synergy on the enemy

This would make it a great mob placement ability that functions in a similar fashion to the DK chains (while still keeping the DK chains as a superior version)

    I like these ideas, but I would like some other tweaks also.

    The base skill should do dots damages along with the final burst damage, it would give more power because it really lack some damages. Along with that, it would allow the synergy to be available sooner (since the first damage tick will proc faster).

    Shadow silk should also give more damage along with your change, it would really be the "dps" morph.

    For tangling/grippling web, I think the 22 meter (same as DK grap) is really needed. In order to be less efficient than chains, it may need a 0,5 second cast time. It should also apply the slow to the pulled target. The synergy on an other hand should do some good damage and give either a stronger slow or an immobilization.
    With no fear, no damage, a cast time but an interesting synergy, it would be a good "generic" version of the more useful DK chain.

    Hmm, so having it have a channel time of 0.6 seconds (throwing the strands), after which it successfully 'latches on' and you drag the enemy towards you (part that can be animation canceled) Though should the GCD start as soon as the channel ends or when the channel starts? (think flurry).

    In terms of range, I do think it should be shorter (just speculation on the PvP side), though an applied slow for 2 seconds could be cool after a successful pull.

    I guess the synergy doing damage would be all right, as it would require an additional player.

    Would rather silver leash be the chain all classes can use, change it to pull to you instead of you to them. Web should be something else, like all Undaunted skills, more synergy relates.

    Well, spiders who use webs on you never gap close to you, but often grap you. That's why I think webs should be the grap, and leash would better be the gap closer.

    When you grap a mob, most of the time you want him to not move. That's why most DK use talons after a grap, or wardens tank use shards after a portal. If you give a strong immobilization/snare damage to a grap-oriented web, you'll have both the utility and the synergy-axed skill. It's even more true if the synergy give a good amount of damage (and perhaps aoe damage and even aoe snare/immobilization, by spreading the web all around?).
