Yep. Time to beat the dead horse again.

I'm trying to help 2 guild members level their alts (one is DPS-one is tank-levels 19&25 respectively) by supplying good DPS and running the random daily normal dungeon. However, 3 times now we queued into a DLC dungeon with no chance of completing at their level (yes, we all know the mechanics).

Please, ZOS, add a toggle or something to exclude such low level players being added to DLC content. We apologized to the healers we queued up with each time and promptly left each instance. You guessed it, we were also hit with the 15 minute penalty each time. Yay!

Random que will put you in a random dungeon. Just que for the dungeon you want.

I kind of agree the dlc dungeons shouldn't be part of the daily random. I hate when a new toon hits level 10 I queue for my first random dungeon and get Wgt. I think the other three players probably hate me too.

At least there could be a level limit for them appearing like maybe around level 30. Does anyone really think four new players playing level 10 characters could clear any of the dlc dungeons or that it would be a positive experience for them?

Update: We called it after the 4th in a row...just not worth the wait. I understand allowing players who WANT to try that content access, but, damn...allow us a toggle to opt out at such low levels when the DLC dungeons comprise such a large percentage of available dungeons when queued as a random.

I hate clowns and so I hope you burn in hell.

But if they are new it is still worth finding a 4th and doing the six basic dungeons fast for the skilpoints and xp for the quests. FG, SC, BC, WS etc.

The other solution is find from guild or zone chat a 4th player who does not own the dlc dungeons and queue with them. (Wont work this weekend but will normally.)

I have had players lower than OP's group queue in to all DLC normal dungeons and was able to complete them all. It was more difficult and took more time but we got through them all. I did feel sorry for the lvl 10 tank that got matched with nRoM for his/her 1st random dungeon ever though.

I do wish there was a solution that would reduce that chance of happening though.

There should some kind of dungeon difficulty factored into group finder - especially for DLC dungeons.

Lets face it, 4 level 20's with no CP are unlikely to get through RoM or SoH. Telling them to select the dungeon/s they want to run is not a solution, they should not have to forego the random daily bonus.

I just did Imperial City Prison while leveling my Warden with little problems. I has the highest level at 48, the one dps was mid 20s other what 30s and tank was 30 something.

We completed it with little issues. Granted i was healing almost non-stop during the boss fights.

You should at least go give the first boss a try. As you said you are getting a 15 minute penalty anyway so why not use the 15 minutes to see how far you can get? Ya never know, you could actually make it through.

One thing I would suggest is, find 4 people before you que for random, you will still get the random reward. If you don't have 4 players then ask in zone chat for a high cp player.

Also note, if you have 4 players then que for the random and get kicked out as soon as you enter the dungeon, you can manually go back to that dungeon and still get the random reward.

I know some players are just not that good but majority of the time when I cued for nWGT with low levels we didn't have any problem when they new the mechanics.

I healed WGT daily random yesterday. I believe the others were lvl 11, 13 and 14. I think I was 30. One player was completely new to ESO too.

We did it with only a few deaths on last two bosses and no wipes. They're very doable.

So long as you're not the healer...

Same character last week, hit lvl 10 queued for random and got WGT. The rest were in their 30's and 40's and we kept wiping within seconds on the 3 bosses in the room with the scroll. I eventually apologised and left, saying I didn't expect group finder to put a lvl 10 healer into that dungeon.

You can do any dungeon at any level as DPS/tank, imo, but some require a variation in healing or raw power that just isn't achievable at low levels.

I DPSed Cradle of Shadows at like level 20. If you know the mechanics, as you say you do, it's more than doable. The only problem here is that you refused to try it.
