How often do you PUG vet dungeons?

Megabear
Megabear
✭✭✭✭✭
Your view on difficulty of vet dungeons should be excluded. For example you may believe that none of the vet dungeons are difficult and run with PUG 95% of the time, then you'd choose the option "Always or nearly every time". Alternatively if you run with a PUG only on easy vet dungeons and run difficult vet dungeons about 75% of the time, your choice would probably be "Around 25% of the time".

Most of the PUGs I run normal dungeons with are a pain. There's no way in hell I'm running Vet with a bunch of people that barely know any group/raid mechanics.

There're only 2 remotely fun things left in dungeons (for me) at this point - one is SotH dungeons on vet hm with friends, the other is basically anything else on vet with pugs. Both provide sufficient challenge and often funny stories to share :p

Non-SotH vet dungeons are mind numbingly boring at this point with a half decent team, your average pug with 10k group dps(not counting mine), a tank who gets one shot on every trash pack while NOT keeping agro and/or a healer with whole one healing/buffing spell(that if you're lucky) can spice it up alright though.

I used to do it a lot in Homestead, but now? A very rare occasion for me. For several reasons.

    1) Carrying was much easier in Homestead :) Yeah, everyone (me including) already said what they wanted about "balance changes", so here you go :) Though to be fair - I never PUGed vet on my Healer, even in Homestead. I only PUG vet as DPS. Find it masochistic to PUG as support role :D

    2) I'm now on tight shedule. I started to actively raid in the end of Homestead, so when I log in, I usually have trial sheduled in half an hour. For now I find trials very fun and am concerned mostly with them. And I can't play ESO 24/7 :D

But when I grow tired of trials - and that is inevitable, you really can't run the same content over and over and over - I actually might go back to PUGing :) So for now - nearly never. But in future? Who knows :)
English isn't my native, apologies for any mistakes.

I can understand where you're coming from but my reaction is completely the opposite.

I went from raiding in EverQuest, to tanking in 5 man group in a 10 man WoW raid that was later nerfed because it was too difficult, etc etc and finally down to ESO easy-mode dungeon experience which I enjoy due to limited time I have. I don't have time to spend inordinate amount of time putting a group together, learning the mechanics, killing trash mobs that are much more difficult than bosses in ESO, then finally beating it (after many wipes) hoping I'll roll higher than others when loot finally appears.

I joined ESO to relax, not tax myself after a long day of work. If I was a student or jobless I'd definitely want more challenge though.

I almost never have bad experiences with PUGs. Almost all non-DLC dungeons are soloable. It's just nice to have 3 other bodies there to draw aggro. They don't actually have to be competent.

Apart from RoM, there's no vet dungeon I wouldn't PUG. SotH, WGT etc can be explained to those less experienced (RoM too, but for some reason it takes people longer to understand that one). When I'm key hunting on HM I'll PUG roughly half.

I prefer to PUG for reasons of time. 1 min and we're in a dungeon. In guilds it's all "sure, just let me walk the dog" or "after this quest chain"-"what quest chain?"-"Wrothgar"-"How far are you?"-"Just come through the Friendship Gate".

I like to do around half a dozen dungeons a day, an hour or two, not a dungeon every half a dozen days. So PUGs it is.

Sorry guild, but you know those are true words! I <3 you really.
