Do you have fun with pvp in cyrodiil?

What we have in ESO is not PvP. It's either gank or zerg. There is nothing in-between. Fights don't last long enough to use any form of tactics, counters to other players' actions, maneuver, teamwork, etc. Presuming you're not stuck with a slideshow (which happens too often), usually you're going to be attacked by someone you don't even see, stunned, and killed within seconds... unless you're part of a zerg.
And zergs are a crap way to PvP.

I didn`t even go there, and i`m not planning to until nothing to explore will be left in the world. And only for those " PVE " aspects of Cyro.
I don`t like mindless slaughterhouses, I prefer PvP with a goal, profit. Like take away farming spot, gang enemy guild, steal other player cargo and etc. Just running around killing each other without any good reason is meh.

Open world PvP is so much better.
Plus the games with open world PvP have better combat systems and better classes.
Had fun at cyro before, during and right after IC. Never since then.

All of those issues are true. Lag, zergs, eye of the storm stacks etc it should be a lot less fun than it is.

The problem is that you have such a selfish narrow view of the PVP game. It isn't even about killing an opponent or anyone at all.. it is about dying and dying in the right place at the right time. It is about pulling the enemy around the map so the rest of your team can capitilise.

There is a predictablity in the zerg you can influsence it and avoid it.

I don't care - the PvP model in ESO is sooo bad, Cyrodil does not exist for me. I hoped the Battlegrounds will bring some good PvP, but nooo, it's just small-scale Cyrodil.
I'm not a programmer and I have no idea how to fix Cyro, but it shouldn't be PvP-only province. I can't remember now what MMO I was playing, but there were the PvP areas on the map which could be entered just by walking into them, you just received a screen message: "Warning, you are entering a battleground" or something like that. Even I am not a PvP person, I sometimes entered the battleground, just because I passed by and decided to try my luck. The whole process of entering Cyro is so bothering, and because I prefer PvE I just have no incentive to go trough that just to get my butt kicked.
What I would like to see is huge battlegrounds around keeps in Cyro and maybe small PvP grounds in every province (skirmishes?). I guarantee that if you let the carebears like me just do their thing while "accidentally" stumble upon a battleground, a lot of us would eventually grow into PvP pants ;) Again - I'm not a programmer and I have no idea if it's possible (however with my limited knowledge I would say it is).
And of course TRUE arenas in every province capital, with 1v1 up to 6v6 tournaments (I don't get the idea behind XvXvX, but whatever, as long XvX is an option) - instead of the current pointless duel and Battlegrounds system.

Xbox na, solo/very small group pvp, constant lag, 99.9% massive zergs... I said no but i do have fun in pvp, just very rare since morrowind.. If they could just fix the constant lag ( for a few updates now ) at the big fights (20+) people so i could kite from the zergs and not get the lag id be happy. proc sets i can handle, zergs to by running away til theres only a couple left. But 100% hands down lag ruins my pvp experience on an almost daily basis, sadly.

As the updates continue i think the game will get harder for causal players, from the proc sets and ridiculous healing making some people hit very hard and some people be unkillable while doing high damage, causing them to group up more and cause more lag. I cant find small scale anywhere on xbox 99% of the time. I watched some videos from the last few updates last night, and it just seems to gets worse. But when its good, its good, just not very often anymore.

It's a mixed bag. Usually this one shows up in Cyrodill sporadically, this is one is not a dedicated PvP player. But if the group is coordinated well enough it is fun... Sadly a random group that, well, behaves like a group is a rarity.

I never was a fan of the open-world PvP that allows zergballing in other MMOs and I feel like ESO hasn't done anything to alleviate that problem. I think that the battlegrounds are vastly better, even in their incredibly unrefined and poorly-designed state. The biggest problem with the PvP in ESO is in my opinion that it is team vs. team vs. team, since the whole threesome fighting tends to cause more problems and imbalances than the standard team vs. team would, as players make pacts across alliances and end up teaming up against one alliance. The idea behind the three-way fighting is a good idea, you know that if one team is strong the other two would work together against it, but it just never works that way. I also don't understand why the battlegrounds have to follow the same three-way fighting mentality, when alliances have nothing to do with the battleground teams, modes like CTF just become a mess because of this and the map designs have to cater to this, which makes for some terrible gameplay. I think the only time ESO PvP is fun is when you are fighting small-scale, but when you talk about zerging, people really only enjoy it if they are on the winning team.

    I don't ever PvP.

I only went into Cyrodiil long enough to get all the Skyshards. Haven't touched it since.

There's no point to it IMO; and also IMO, PvP should have never been introduced into MMORPG's. Ever.

But, that's just my opinion. I see PvP as a cancer on the entire MMORPG genre, but if that's your thing, carry on.

My only real complaint about cyro is the size of it. When the game dropped in 2014 the pop cap was i think 500 per alliance correct me if I'm wrong it might of been 200. Anyway it was intended to have more population so the vast gaps of cyro between keeps were filled with more players. Now with the low pop cap levels it seems 75% empty at all times. It just takes to long to ride to find a decent fight. Imo I would like it shrinked by 33%.

Specifically, on a baby alt in the non 50 campaign. It's a lot fun and is almost reminiscent of pvp back in the day

Same. Non Vet PVP is fun. Vet PVP is not.

Non Vet feels more balanced and rarely any issues with proc sets or dying so fast you can't react.

This is why I level PVP skill lines in non vet, once my character hits max level I never go back to cyrodiil with them.

The only time my fun factor goes down is when 1vX pro elite players messege me none stop that im a terrible player or i Xv1 ganked them or something along those lines. I mean we play an open world AvAvA game.. cant i just play how i wanna play?

HAHA, yeah you aren't wrong. Last night I was running with my guild group and we were trying to dethrone EP, we pushed into the keep and got summarily wiped by 3 large stacked EP guilds, siege, and pugs. I actually survived the negate destro gauntlet and escaped for a camp.

Well outside the keep where I literally just fought and escaped the majority of the EP faction I get jumped by some jackass AD magsorc. I'm thinking "Are you f***ing kidding me right now? I don't want to deal with this, I'm not dueling a 1vx magsorc with my raid spec and even without it those battles can last over 5 minutes." So 1-2 other DC see me and come over to help.

He dies quickly and IS SO BUTTHURT by my 3v1 that for the next 10 minutes all I get is whispers about "1v1 me you suck, I kill you every time we duel, go back to your zerg zergling!" and I don't even recognize who this guy is. And believe me, I recognize the names of most players that are a regular threat.

You take the bad with the good for pvp I guess. Bad mostly being that people are just jerks for no reason.

It's only fun when done with a guild group following someone who actually knoes what they're doing and leads the group to achieve something. Otherwise going into a batle solo to die within 5 seconds and remain on the floor until the end of times is not fun at all.

Neither is trying to clear a delve only to be run over from behind by a group of enemy players just because you're flying different colors.

Bought ESO knowing nothing about it, went to figuring it out on my own. Finally leveled enough and rec'd the Alliance message and went to Cyro to explore. After roaming around for a while all was quiet on the western front, stepped away a sec, came back and I'm getting stabbed by two players. That was my 'aha!' moment. Went back a 2nd time and found I could take part in attacking and running down a handful of different colored players into a much larger group of those players only to turn and run and jump over the side of the roadway to a freefall death.

I returned a few times since I found some skyshards in some delves but would see players of like Alliance setup trébuchets and such and start a siege and it looks cool so I'd head over to get invol--and I'm dead.

So it is an interesting concept but I voted 'other' as there are really no inter-dependencies between PvE and PvP concerning Cyrodiil. Perhaps they could develop DLC or closed PvE areas that require a minimum amount of Cyrodiil PvP time to earn access. Also, the best strategies appear to quickly become useless, perhaps there could be an incentive for sieges, such as every 30 days having an Alliance select an opposing adjacent Keep to try and take with a specific amount/types of players and if successful the Keep stays with the Alliance victor for a set period of time. This would allow for open world and bulletin board 'join the war effort' recruiting and strategic planning to some degree.
