If you can't buy it right now, there is always.... crown crates.. bahaha.
But on a serious note, this has been a thing for like... forever... waaaaaaaaaay before crown crates were a thing
Clothing stores make things for a limited time, technological companies make products for a limited time, car companies make vehicles for a limited time. Not good enough? Blade and Soul puts out limited time cosmetics, as well as GW2, rift and SWtOR.
Maybe we should work on not focusing on the little things we can complain about. I mean ffs, if this is the worst thing you come across in this game, consider yourself lucky. Limited time deals, get over it. It is a business model that works very well in all forms of sales.
Maybe too many limited time items, but on the other hand....mostly due to the short availability.... it is nice not to see everyone running around in the same kit.
A noticeable thing about ESO is the vast array of looks that characters can and do have. It makes Tamriel a more interesting place.
Yeah I think it's getting a little silly when half the catalogue a month is now limited, however they'll do what they like with their marketing side of things damned be how we feel about it.
Would be nice if we could have only two limited a month and have them run two weeks each, so you know people who get paid at different times can buy them.

I like the time limited mostly because it keeps the store tidy.
The game Warframe is very good at highlighting why having absolute no time limited items can be annoying - their market isn't a simple store, it's a gosh danged catalogue. And everytime something new comes out, I'm forced to go through like 10 sub menus to get it.

So even if you miss it now, you can buy it later with crown crate gems. No problem -- you'll have other opportunities to get the same items down the road.
If purchasing crowns is not the issue...then there is no issue with the time. If you're unable to purchase crowns to buy it now, save your money so you can buy crates later. Problem solved.

First they rush you to buy it, then if you lose it, you are forced to play your luck and gamble for it, which is why they are making so many limited time offers of desired products (by most) because they know that if people wont buy it now, they have to pay way more to purchase it later.

Still don't see the problem -- you STILL get other opportunities to buy it. Whether you buy it now (cheap) or buy it later (expensive)...you can still obtain it. The choice is yours as to when you decide to purchase the item.

It IS a problem when you have to pay around 50-100 bucks to get a mount or something else if you missed it because its only been there for a few days ^^. Yes you get the opportunity, but I wouldnt call it an actual opportunity.

Again, I don't see a problem here. You either have the money or you do not to buy it when it's available. How you manage your money to spend on your hobbies/gaming/whatever is up to you ultimately. This is entirely my opinion and strategy -- I save my money to spend on gaming. I have enough funds in my "gaming budget" to take advantage of these opportunities when they appear.
So...no problem here. One must align their priorities and it is not a problem.
Frankly, when I read a post like this, it sounds like all the rest of "whiny" threads that permeate the forums. I get it, people feel the need to complain about the game -- it sure makes them feel good. You're certainly entitled to feel the way you feel. But at the end of the day...do you seriously think that complaining about it is going to change it? Especially based on all you know about the business practices of ZOS?

It's called "artificial scarcity". In real life, things that are scarce are usually worth more - one of a kind paintings, gold, etc. Because digital items are infinite, they create ARTIFICIAL scarcity, which "supposedly" makes it more valuable.
In addition, there is a psychological marketing element to "limited time" that drives more people to buy for fear they will miss out.
It's all mind games. And it's been around forever. It will NEVER go away - mostly, because it works.
