Where do you train or grind for CP?

XHandsomexJackX
Just curious about where people like to grind. You don't have to tell the exact location.

    I'm to good to train.
See my CP number in my signature.

To be honest as a former beta player I never grinded CPs or even former lvls with intent. CPs and vet lvls just happened by doing Cadwell's silver and gold, or DLC quest content or daily pledges or else. I never grind, CPs just happen while doing something else.

I haven't grinded a character in a long time, but when I did? Spiders of Bangkorai. They give lots of XP, and spawn so seemlessly. You simply run a circle nonstop. And they'll keep spawning — nonstop.

I don't grind XP, I grind gold. By not focussing on CP, levelling doesn't seem like a grind. I just progress with something else and suddenly, I've gained another 5 CP.

I don't train or grind. I just play the game and have fun.

I remember the day CP was introduced and some people where grinding for days to be at the top with their CP. Instead of actually enjoying the game they painfully killed all the same mobs in the same boring dungeon for days at a row. Guess what.. they burned out and don't play anymore.

Vet dungeons mostly. A much better spot to train than dolmen farming. You actually improve your skill by doing them, get nice rewards and even some exp. In contrast, grinding for cp is moslty mindless button spamming, no idea why people consider this training, since you are not getting any better, you only get a larger number.

Grinding Champion Points it's the most stupid thing ever, play normally and learn the game so CPs will come by itself, I have been already in too many pug groups with people 600+ CP who had no idea what they are doing.

10 characters at level 50. Do Crafting Writs, Undaunted Delve Daily, Random Dungeon Daily, and if I land on the Daily Pledge that's just a bonus. With a single character it's a pretty large chunk of experience, with multiple characters you get several CP each day.

Yup, it's power leveling. It's also not a good idea to announce because that's the type of thing dev's like to nerf to the ground and put "Insta 50" on the cash shop.

I'm not bothered by it *shrugs* particularly when it comes to people having high level toons already but everyone hates people that have no idea how to play the game at 50 :)

Oh and I don't grind CP which is probably why I'm only 317 :#

Oh I've done Skyreach to level toons of mine and my friends many, many times. So many people do it and have announced this multiple times here on the forums. It's common knowledge. Great place to earn CP (and yes, power level your characters).

It won't hurt me to see any power leveling spot/grind spot nerfed. There are so many out there. Heck dolmens should have been nerfed a year ago...but go out to a few of the zone (Alik'r I'm looking at you) and you'll see large groups there 24/7 endlessly grinding dark anchors. Me...I only do them now for FG, achievement, titles, and dyes. I have two accounts currently, one completely full of 14 level 50, 630+ CP characters and a second account with only 2 level 50 characters (~300 CP)...so I will be power leveling and grinding CP for a while at the various places listed in the post and in others...

I don't grind. I play, running two characters through silver, and DBH/TG/Wrothgar has gotten me over 300 cp so far, getting them both through gold will give me another good chunk, and the third character i'm leveling now will probably finish me off above the point cap.

I agree, I wasn't really finding fault with it. I suppose the main point, in my mind, was that it would be another CS item, like riding skills and crafting research.

Have been playing since release and am now over 800 CP but have never gone out of my way to grind them, just notice when I get a new one. Started a new toon recently and have been tempted with a skyreach run which is all good and well, but you end up with lots of CPs to spend but very little in the way of skill points, so prefer to story mode and quest, bit of a grind but I'm on my 8th go round..

First of all, this is not the quickest, most efficient, best way to level...it's just an template.

Here's what I do for a grinded character (although I have leveled through questing as well):

    - Grind to level 25 using dolmens (4 to 25 will net you FG level 10; plus a few titles (Enemy of Coldharbour, Daedric Lord Slayer), dyes (Daedric Red and a couple others...a purple dye too), and a few achievements. Should take no more than 8 to 10 hours total.

    - After I've closed my 250 dolmen for Enemy of Coldharbour and killed the last general for Daedric Lord Slayer (it will be some where at 25 or into level 25), I can do the main story questline. I do it all the way up to Message Across Tamriel quest. This should get you to 30+. This will take about 3 hours.

    - I then head over to the FG and do the whole quest line, but do not turn in the final quest until I hit level 50 (cp 160). This should get you to 32+. This will take about 2 hours.

    - Now I do skyshards (no public dungeons), lorebooks (to level 6) for an alliance. This will take about 10 hours. This should get you to 35-39.

    - I then go back to MG. Finish this completely. Another 2 to 3 hours. You should be about level 39-40.

    - Now I finish Coldharbour and the main quest line. About 3 to 4 hours. This should get you to 41-42.

    - Depending on what is required for my build, I am going to do either: grind dolmens for loot, do TG board repeatable, grind Skyreach, public dungeons, or a mix of the previous. This will get you to 50. This is going to take about 5 hours.

Doing it this way allows you to balance xp gains and skill points...while learning your class.

I can understand grinding your n-th character to 50 as fast as you can and then going on a few skyshards and lorebook runs, in order to hit endgame content as fast as possible on them, but not grinding as you are still learning the game. Grinding CP exclusively is plain dumb. That's why I end up seeing CP630 players that can't do crap in group content. On one hand they had the unnatural patience to kill the same mobs over and over again, on the other they are clearly dumb enough to have learned nothing from it. People of limited intellect usually have a lot of patience, hence they are fit only for repetitive, simple tasks, such as taping down one key and running around dolmens, Auridon bear forest, Spellscar or Skyreach Hold in Craglorn, various zombie infested graveyards in Alik'r desert and other such places where the last of their neurons come to die a painful, lonely death. I utterly despise such people.
