How come the flawless working thing in the game is the crown store, but we can't get a functioning playable game (lag, disconnects, broken group/battleground queues, ridiculously long queues into cyrodiil). Whose idea was it to remove CP from PvP. The community didn't demand it. Because of the removal of CP, one server has 1 hour queue times and BGs are a proc fest.

I am extremely disappointed that basic things that everyone should expect as standard is not addressed in a timely manner and knowingly defective product is sold before it's completed.

Doesn't ZOS make more money with selling more subs and chapters? Whose gonna keep buying the product if it's unplayable? These issues are killing the game. You either can't play or when it does work, the game is not fun. We've been very patient with waiting for stuff to get fixed.

Instead of crown crates, we should get game time added to our accounts, not cosmetic stuff that doesn't compensate for not being able to play the actual game.

The cynic in me says that development money goes where revenue is. Rule #1 in free to play games, even the ones where you have to buy the game first.

In reality, it is much easier to get something like a Crown Store working than it is to resolve lag and performance problems.

Yes taking a name from a character you like is very edgy indeed. I don't think you know what the word means. Don't get so triggered because I offended your cheesy lover. :)

*Snorts* Wannabe-edgelord uses wannabe-edgelord lingo; can't handle being called out on their poor behavior; digs heels in deeper and only makes themselves look even worse. Tale as old as time. Film at eleven.

Back on-topic: I am not on with crown crates in general and REALLY don't like things being only available through real-money gambling. But I'm also not gonna complain that people are getting free-ish ones with ESO+. Not everything has to be for everyone, and that's okay.

Get rid of crown crates/gambling business model. That's my honest opinion. The community has been very clear what they think of them. Pushing them or making them more "visible" will just turn people off more.

With an amazing ip like Elder Scrolls you don't need them. Come up with another business model.

I can't stand them, but the community has been buying them.

Please stop talking like there is a consensus that agrees with you.

I don't see that this is a promotion for crown crates. It is a promotion for ESO+.

The only reason we get the crate if on a sub is because we are paying for ESO+ that day while others are accessing for free. Crates are the obvious thing to give out. I doubt anyone with ESO+ is unaware of the crates such that they need to add visibility.

Instead of a popup banner, why not just add a banner to the top of the page ( different color ) where the maintenance announcement are. That way it could be there for the duration of the event.
    PC - NA - AD
    started April 2015
    PVE & Solo only

Easily Lost Crafter - lvl 50 - Sorcerer Orc ( knows all traits and most styles )
    Easily Lost-W - lvl 50 - Warden Imperial
Forever Lost - lvl 50 Sorcerer

CROWN CRATES: It doesn't affect gameplay, it's not mandatory, it's cosmetic only. If it helps to support the game and ZOS, I support it! Say YES to crown crates.

I approve of the event overall, but I don't care for the popup. IMO, you could have just posted the information at the top of the page above the maintenance schedules and I would have noticed it without feeling bombarded by an intrusive ad campaign. I'm already an ESO+ member so there is no need for you to try to sell me something. Ads of that nature just seem desperate to me, like a used car salesman assaulting you the second you drive onto the lot. If the product is good and worth the price, let it sell itself. Yes, I understand you need to make it visible so that people who don't know about it can try it out, but is it really necessary to block out 1/3 of the screen for people who are visiting this forum, most of whom presumably already play the game? A quick in-game message for non subscribers could have effectively conveyed the same message without annoying current subscribers.

As for the event itself... I think it's great for you to offer non-subs a temporary taste of the perks that subscribers get, to try to get them to sub. Trial offers are always a good selling tool, that way customers can test the product without having to commit to anything. If they like it, they'll buy it; if not, they won't. Everybody wins. I also think it's good that you threw in a bonus for people who already sub, so that we don't feel like we're spending money for something that other people are getting for free. As for the crown crates themselves? Not a fan. I'd rather buy items directly. I despise RNG, and even more so when I have to pay for it. Free crates? Cool, thanks. Hopefully I get something good. I probably won't. But either way, it's not going to convince me to buy them. I like to know what I'm buying before I pay for it. So, thanks for the free crates, but I hope you don't actually think this will make me throw money into the crate casino. If I'm going to gamble with real money, it's going to be in a real casino where I can win real money.

Perhaps you are right and I shouldn't judge. To me some random person on the internet I don't know and will never meet telling me I have an addictive personality isn't even an insult. They know nothing about me. And more then likely as you point out when people call names on the internet they are just trolling or trying to make something out of nothing. And It is not my place to tell you what should and should not offend you.

But mostly I just found it amusing that you would write a post calling people morons, dumb, and going all *roll eyes*, and then say it is post like this other guys that kill the soul.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was supposed to respond with warm butterfly kisses and sweetness when someone makes an extremely insulting statement that's meant to imply that people like me must have psychological problems just because we bought a few crown crates.
I think someone is a "moron" when they use the fact that I drink coffee as "evidence" that I must have an addictive personality. So yes, I DO think that's dumb, and it makes me roll my eyes. Are we done here now, or are you going to continue to troll?
I'm done. I won't be looking at any more replies on this thread, so don't bother responding.

That's what got me to get ESO in the first place. I love all of Bethesda's games and when they had the free ESO game trial at the end of April, free for the weekend. I had it purchased BEFORE the free event was over.

If you bought the dwarven crates, they will always be dwarven crates. Crown Gems can be used to buy whatever is in the current season of crates. So, once the next season of crates hits, you can use gems saved from previous seasons on the new items.
