Trait Research Buff (All Armor & Weapon Crafting)

I'm sure by now you're all sick and tired of only being able to research three traits for days at a time right? Well I think I might have come up with a solution that is balanced and could be easily implemented by the developers. If you research the same trait across the board it should allow you to research all pieces at the same time with an additional time reduction bonus. Researching multiple traits should be limited to the current standard of three at a time, but with a time increase. This will encourage players to focus on one set of traits at a time as well as reward them for it.

Factoring in the rarity of some traits will also encourage players to gather the entire set of one said rare trait over a span of time. This also adds genuine farming to the game as a whole. But, to be honest, if you think that I could have found a better way to balance trait research then please comment with your ideas in this thread. All constructive criticism and input is appreciated.

As a solo player, I wouldn't be against this. Because I've been trying to get all the traits and all my crafting skill areas maxed out. So this would be a huge time saver. But from the games point of view, I think it would make becoming a master crafter too easy because you could get all traits in 1/8 of the times.

That may seem to be the case, but many people already have certain traits that are not across the board. This will block them from researching said trait because in order to speed up the time they must research all pieces at once.

I already have at varries traits for each item so I'd be punished under this system and would have to start my crafting anew on a different character.

I am pro anything that reduces the research time as long as it doesn't involve ESO+ or the crown store.

Yes. I completely agree with this. There are too many games out there that put large values and advantages on spending actual money in order to purchase better items in the game and get you ahead.

Not punished. The times would just remain the same as they are currently.

So essentially punish those who have been researching for months on end using the current system, and give new players a "catch up" mechanic so to speak. Yeah, seems fair. Just another way to *** off long time players even more as if the change to XP catch up mechanics isn't already enough.

I'm also a long time player, since midnight on launch date for Xbox One. This change really wouldn't bother me. In fact, it would make it easier for me to learn certain traits that I don't even have. It's all about how you look at it. Glass half empty or half full.

So essentially you don't want to put in the effort and have the patience of people who researched before you?

Just put in the time like everything else.

You don't seem to understand the current situation as far as crafting goes. There are crown store scrolls to speed up trait research already. Why not offer a bonus to those who choose to play free?

    No, it's not really needed.

It's really not that difficult to get all of the traits. 9 characters can have a single trait researched on each item in about 10 days. In a week and a half your account is self sufficient for traits*. Now you can dedicate one character to learn the rest of the traits that your other characters can craft and pass. (I'd recommend the one that you chose to learn Nirnhoned be your main crafter).

*This assumes you don't spend any points in speeding up research time. If you were to do that you could have your traits researched even faster.

crafting and research doesnt get you ahead.
you dont get better items by crafting
and you can actually get anything traded what you could craft

Research scrolls (the ones for 3 writ vouchers a piece) can essentially halve the time it takes to fully research all traits. Not sure why that isn't good enough. Has been really effective for me, researching the last few traits I need to finish up.

There is no way on earth that researching traits needs changing again, tens of thousands of people have gone though trait research and become 9 trait in all crafts long before the recent introduction of research scrolls were added and now you propose another change.

Anymore changes just totally devalues the commitment put in by others who did it the original way.
