That may seem to be the case, but many people already have certain traits that are not across the board. This will block them from researching said trait because in order to speed up the time they must research all pieces at once.

So essentially punish those who have been researching for months on end using the current system, and give new players a "catch up" mechanic so to speak. Yeah, seems fair. Just another way to *** off long time players even more as if the change to XP catch up mechanics isn't already enough.

Yes. I completely agree with this. There are too many games out there that put large values and advantages on spending actual money in order to purchase better items in the game and get you ahead.
