Can you give some more information.

Which server, platform etc. also unless you know something we don't might be best not to shout it's a denial of service attack.

I thought maybe a DDoS attack too, but this doesn't seem like one. I think the servers are just over stressed from all the players off on this holiday weekend. And seeing how it is a holiday i wouldn't expect a fix until later. I'm sure staff is at a minimum.

Though Khajiit has no technical evidence for this at all it is not beyond the realms of possibility that someone they may choose 4 July to launch a DDOS yes. Knowing that most people they wish for a day off to burn the sausages and set off explosives drunkenly in their gardens - as this one she understands it.

Also from the simmering pool of rage threads here today it does seem to be mostly the non European servers affected.

Also Khajiit has no idea what she just wrote or what any of it means.

I don't think its a DDoS attack. Most of the problems were last night during prime time (EST)

This morning (8:00am EST) i haven't noticed it nearly as bad as it was last night.

Well that's more useful information than the people still complaining about an event six hours ago. If there are still issues live and happening now then sure, complain but post the information of where, what, when etc.

The weird thing is that it's not happening to everyone, doesn't seem confined to any geographical location and there are times during the night (as in the wee hours) when the problem disappears.

Another common theme is that it seems to be happening to a lot of us that very rarely if ever have bad ESO lag (I've been playing at ~90 almost always for 3 years myself.)

And it's not my connection: streaming netflix is just fine as is playing Secret World legends for example. It is ESO only for me.

And we're not talking about slightly annoying but playable lag. It is a 6 to 10 second delay interacting with doors, swapping weapons, etc. and If it's happening to you it'll happen in any area busy or not -- even main story solo instances. Sometimes it just stops responding altogether and we get a full disconnect to the log-in screen.

It's a mystery alright.

Has anyone checked to see if it's different ISP's of all people on the same one?

I mean yes it might not be your connection, but it could be the connection for your ISP to the servers. There have been times in the UK when one provider has had issues but others have not.

I mean I was online yesterday just fine, and essentially almost every day for months. I don't know how it's unplayable but okay.

There were quite clearly issues on NA servers earlier, you don't tend to see the entire front page of the recent posts tracker covered like that unless a number of people are having issues.

The fact that everything but ESO is working 100% fine for me, including other MMOs, sort of rules out my ISP.

I've had others in my area (Vancouver, BC, Canada) also say that they are not having any issues at all... it's very weird.

I've been reading all these posts and they all have the same issue, severe lag in the form of 3-6 second delays doing anything. It's so bad that even crafting isn't an option for a lot of us.

Please if you've had issues why not humour us this one time and answer Santie's questions. Besides I am very interested n knowing if where the rain currently is.

It's not though, the outage this morning was very much NA servers and SEA players on EU. No EU players from my understanding kicked off about it.

Which again, saying it's everyone doesn't help narrow it down.

I could start a thread, but come on we both know it would be trolled, smack talked, I would get a bunch of abuse for being a try hard, then it would be off the front page and help nothing.

I am just trying to remind people to post something useful if they can, Santie's list would be a good start. However honestly I am getting tired of trying and might just go troll zerg rage threads again.

PC EU in the UK seems pretty much fine, Cyro is the usual Cyro, nothing to report.

I'd suspect that it's due to some ISP's being stressed over a holiday period for some..something like that anyway.

I can see people having issues in PVP though, Some are proving easy prey / AP. Keep up the good work whoever is causing this.
