And there was me thinking everyone had quit because the forum experts assured us it was so...!
It's not though, the outage this morning was very much NA servers and SEA players on EU. No EU players from my understanding kicked off about it.The thing is, if people who are actually effected took the time to fill out this information honestly, then the ZOS people could actually come to one thread, look at it all and see if it matches what they're seeing and help find any issues faster.SantieClaws wrote: »Let us try and make sense of this yes.
If everyone with issues could post the following perhaps and anything else useful you can think of:
ISP
Any other useful info on your sort of connection
Approx location
Frequency and severity of lag issues - is it still happening?
Platform and server
OS
Favourite ice cream flavour
Is it raining outside?

Appreciate the attempt to help out, but we've already ascertained that it's affecting people in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States, so that rules out ISP. I've been reading all these posts and they all have the same issue, severe lag in the form of 3-6 second delays doing anything. It's so bad that even crafting isn't an option for a lot of us.
The problem is people who have the issues are not interested in being helpful (for the most part) and just want to rant expecting ZOS to magically have everything needed to find an issue.
Please if you've had issues why not humour us this one time and answer Santie's questions. Besides I am very interested n knowing if where the rain currently is.
Then start a new master thread about it would be my suggestion, but I can tell you right now it's spread across all servers and platforms, countries and ISPs.
Which again, saying it's everyone doesn't help narrow it down.
I could start a thread, but come on we both know it would be trolled, smack talked, I would get a bunch of abuse for being a try hard, then it would be off the front page and help nothing.
I am just trying to remind people to post something useful if they can, Santie's list would be a good start. However honestly I am getting tired of trying and might just go troll zerg rage threads again.
@Jemcrystal that reddit thread also says submitted 6 hours ago.Jemcrystal wrote: »
Is this actually happening right now live on servers or are you just bringing up the issues from this morning again?

I have been googling around but no-one is outright reporting an attack on Linode's Dallas datacentre. They have been reported as having some severe problems though in the last 7 days.
I'm on Xbox EU and seeing very little to zero problems. In fact, its gone spookily quiet tonight, with far fewer people on lately.

This seems accurate. I'm rerouting my nodes manually using the mudfish VPN to bypass linode's nodes and im not having the bad spikes anymore. my average ping is slightly higher - around 90 instead of 78 - but i'd trade that for not having any 4k spikes any day of the week.
EDIT: i dont thikn its the server, i think its a node right next to the server that half the country is routing through. by rerouting to come in from the east instead of the west, im avoiding the spikes.
Current path is US West - Pump (im in Los angeles)
and im goign to Host US2 in Dallas Tx

Well, if you can bypass Linode, and your lag goes away rather than not being able to log into the game, Linode is not hosting.
Personally, I think they went with Level 3 for hosting.
