You can probably safely bet that this is how things are going to be until they remove the last cp campaign. As a pseudo fix you can simply play in one of the non cp campaigns and help promote them to get more people playing in them.

Sotha was easy to get into and fun tonight, vivec was not.

When I was in vivec it was a zerg fest as usual. At one point there was probably 70 EP and another 30 or so DC fighting my group of 20 AD. To me that just isn't fun. Course we got stomped too which made it even less fun.

I much prefer the no cp campaign anyway since I'm only 350ish. So I'm a play thing to the high cp guys. I'm still just learning the pvp side, so it may not be high cp wrecking me, but it feels like it. When I encounter lower cp guys not only do I stand a chance but I even win at least 1/2 of those. :)

Anyway, to sum up, don't be scared of Sotha, it's a fun (non zergy) campaign where skill will matter a bit more than cp build. ;) Oh and the lag is about 1/2. So bonus pts for that.

You want to know why I don't want to do a no CP campaign? Because the *** bags will sit up on their walls firing 20 cold fire ballistas at 5 people and due to lack of CP, I'll be missing 20% resources and a bunch of mitigation that makes eating siege damage while 4 procing stamblades try to gank me... just a little easier.

Aka, siege and procs are ridiculous in no CP, and I and many others don't want to deal with it.

And before the "You are a afraid to let go of your CP crutch" people speak up, I enjoy and handle battlegrounds and actual combat in noCP just fine, I've tried it for hours on end.

Man if you survive 4 proccing stamblades no wonder you want the cp campaign.. In the cp campaign I can't even survive one of them. Of course as I covered I'm new to pvp and low cp... but still, wow!

Ok so back on topic, what's the actual problem? I've played eso since launch. Not so much pvp as I've covered, but I've always seen a single campaign be the "full" one that everyone wanted in. So even when there were multiple campaigns with the same rule set there have always been threads like this with people complaining of the queues. Then when zos raised the queue limits they complained about lag.

This always happens in mmos. People want to be on the most crowded server, or the most popular faction, or the most popular pvp campaign.

So here's the problem. They can't just arbitrarily raise the population limits because that causes the other problem you mentioned, lag. They have created multiple campaigns in the past but nobody used them and the complaints were "But I need to be on campaign X so I can play with my friends, omg zos you suck fix it!!".

If you know of some magic way to solve the the "player's always want to be on the *one* server" then by all means let zos know. But complaining and blaming zos for what players do is silly.

I guarantee if they had another cp campaign barely anyone would use it and you would have posted this same thread about queues and people would have said "so go to camp X" and you would have said "no I wanna play with my friends". I've seen this thread in many different iterations over the years and it is always the same regardless of what ZOS tried to do.

I guess you can be happy they have such a popular game that you have queue times.. it could be empty and you have nobody to play with.

No I played on the CP low pop server Haderous was good fights at primetime when most people play ... now we are crammed into 1 server the other servers have different rule sets....
Haderous went 3 bars on primetime.... Now they replaced it with a rule set that no one wants to play.... But again the main reason for this post is about communication something we have been asking for and they will not deliver on....

I'm betting you're right.. Because @durham is right in the sense they should just have an extra cp campaign.. it couldn't hurt for overflow.

That's probably why there's no cp in bgs. They realize they created a huge gap in players via cps. I mean I play eso a lot and still am only 350cp, lol. 630s wreck me in pve and pvp.

The caps are there because the servers can only handle a certain amount of load.. Vivec on PC EU is already crashing multiple times a day when full. If anything, they need to lower the caps (and open a new campaign)

I think they expected more pvpers to be in BGs rather than Cyro, but I don't think that's really happened.. I'm also suspecting that morrowind may have increased the population meaning more servers may be needed.

You're not going to get it.

I heard AD queue last night was 130+. EP queue has consistently been 100+ on weekends. They know.

    Think about it.
    • CP more popular pre Morrowind.
    • Morrowind introduces resource changes which receive a lot of negative feedback
    • Thus these changes are going to make CP more appealing.
    • Instead ZoS removes a CP campaign, without even asking its community or even telling us the reason.
    • From day 1 of Morrowind early access, it even clear this decision was not what the community preferred.
    • Here we are, 6 weeks later without a peep.

The Amalexia decision was not made because ZoS anticipated a higher demand for no CP. ZoS would have asked and would have already reverted the change weeks ago upon seeing its error

The lag can't be fixed, proper balance can't be attained with CP, and the power creep has gotten so insane - far beyond what the original devs probably thought was possible - that it's far easier for just to give up on CP PvP. Since the PvP community makes up 1% of the player base and the CP system as the crucial carrot to keep the other 99% logging in and grinding, CP as a base system is staying. We are the ones that will either have to adjust or find a new game.

WTF... umm.. so its players fault for wanting to use there max leveled characters to the fullest possible potential and picking a server that allows them to do so?

Or maybe its Zenimax's fault for removing all the other 7 day CP servers and trying to cram everyone in to one server with out doing anything about the population limit....

You didn't want in anyway. The performance at prime time last night was atrocious.

So my other options were to:
    1. Go to a camp where proc sets and siege are insanely out of balance
    2. Go play something else

Using no CP as an overflow didn't work; I logged off to play something else.

If camelot unchained was done we would be gone honestly... I have played a ton of MMORPG's over my years as a player ... This game communications have been the worst of all of them.... They have great product to bad they cant get PVP to work properly it would be a cult classic if they could hammer down the performance aspects which imo has driven off its populations....
