Laggy experience ever since Morrowind came out (PS4 NA with video attached)

To begin with, just want to say that I run a 100mb/s cable internet connection so I shouldn't be experiencing dramatic issues. Granted, I live in Australia, but I've never really had an issue with extreme lag and ESO used to run quite smoothly by Australian standards.

...Until Morrowind

Literally ever since the Morrowind patch rolled in, I'm experiencing extremely laggy conditions at very specific times of the day. The game works perfectly time from about 9am AEST to about 7pm AEST (which for you in NA is 7pm ET to 5am ET). Ironically, peak periods for you guys are when my game runs pretty smoothly, and I usually log into Cyrodiil on Saturdays and the game works fine on pop-locked campaigns, even with 200 people in a keep.

But as soon as 7pm AEST hits, the game just goes to ***...Like an absolute slideshow where not just Cyrodiil is laggy, but even instanced areas like skyreach become a nightmare.

I've attached videos of what this lag looks like for me in the hope that someone can give me answers as to why this is happening at specific times. I come home from work expecting to relax on ESO but I can't even enjoy the game cause of this crap. I can only enjoy the game on weekends now when I'm off work, however, this doesn't justify my ESO membership subscription and I'm considering unsubbing and trying out a new game if this continues.

Other people on at the same time where these issues are happening to me are reporting similar bursts of lag at exactly the same time.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues and has found solutions ?

If someone can also let me know how to imbed these vids into the message that would be great.

Thanks

Happened to me and a lot of people exactly same thing before Homestead launch, also live in Australia. Myself and a few others switched to pc (even though we have fully lvled and trial geared characters on ps4) and never had this problem anymore.

Just here for the "works fine for me, never experienced lag, did you check your router?" posts
I'm a PVE roleplayer concerned about my vampires stage 4 skin tone and keep getting load screens so I came here to distract people from major issues with a rant thread about my characters cosmetic appearance.

Actually yea you're 100% the last time this happened was with homestead. It lasted 3-4 weeks, dramatic lag starting at 5-6pm AEST.

Then one night and it miraculously fixed itself... Up until morrowind

Ugh really don't want to have to start all over again on pc..this is ridiculous how this happens with major patches and takes ages to fix.

Zos never acknowledged or said they fixed anything. Problem just dissapeared. Then disconnects in trials started to happen on a constant basis. I tried everything, changed internet provider from optus to telstra, both adsl and nbn users were impacted, changed switches and cables at home, still the same. Using google dns didnt help either. Switch to pc totally worth it. Having 0 issues playing. Especially if you are doing trials and pvp. Performance difference is huge. Everything looks so much better too

You can play on pc with ps4 controller and gamepad interface from your couch too if you connect pc to your tv. Same as you do now (many people don't know it)

I've had bad lag since the official release too (PC NA). I used to scoff at people complaining about lag in ESO because I never had any issues. Normal for me is usually 60-70ms, occasionally hitting 90ms, or in extreme cases, 110ms. Lately though it's been 400-800 on a regular basis with spikes over 2k. It's getting practically unplayable, especially since I main a healer and spend the majority of my time in group activities.

You getting them at specific times of day too? Whereas other times it's perfectly fine.

Logged in again 8pm AEST...Game is a slideshow atm.

Still no answers. It's been 4 weeks, every single day WITHOUT FAIL from the day that Morrowind came out that this has been occurring.

Every page on this forum has a complaint about lag, dcs, DDoS, bad queue systems.

And still not one Zenimax employee has come out to address the issue.

This is such disgraceful customer service I actually don't know what their bu$iness model is but clearly giving a *** about their broken game isn't a priority right now.

I'm on ps4 NA based in the US and have never had many issues with Dcs or intense lag until Morrowind. Now, trials are hit and miss whether i get to teleport around, be unable to cast abilities or generally just DC.

Sometimes just bar flipping in town is laggy. [I base myself out of Rawlka.] Last night I had issues just walking around town.

We tried to run vdsa in the morning and all 4 of us in varying locations and internet types experienced a sudden inability to barflop or cast.
[We are shooting for a 40k score. We can't afford 1 wipe]

:/ I'm afraid I'm going to lose all my eso friends the instant destiny 2 comes out.

Lag/latency has been bad for me on PC-NA since MW release. The actual latency meter reading is normal (90-120 ms for me) but the actual play feels like it is 1-2 seconds behind what is actually happening. World boss fights in MW are the worst as it makes it very difficult/impossible to block/interrupt/synergy out from the special attacks.

The fact that you guys are affected in the US as well points to a DDoS attack that is happening at certain times of the day

I have bouts of lag myself, sometimes in the 999+ range. Then other days it runs great.

It comes and goes and has been an issue on this game since I can remember. It would be nice if they would fix it - but I've pretty much given up on that hope and just accept it as part of the game.

The story is exactly the same on Xbox NA. Morrowind seems to have dealt everything a heavy blow.
Scura di Notte - Altmer Nightblade (gear)
Lalin del Sombra - Bosmer Sorcerer (alchemy/enchanting)
    Angevin Sarkany - Bosmer Dragonknight
Alkemene Velothi - Dunmer Warden (Morrowind)
Sanna yos'Phalen - Altmer Sorcerer (provisioning)
    Cosima di Mattina -Altmer Sorcerer
    Naria Andrano - Dunmer Templar
Luca della Serata - Redguard Templar

It's not just latency. I'm in northern US. CST. I was fine after mw launched but the June 12th patch hit that's when lag, skill delay, animation cancel delay, and so many more issue showed up. I usually have around 70ms in pve and 90-100ms in pvp. I'm lucky to be below 250ms most nights with spikes as high as 3-5k which will disconnect me.

So I feel what you are going through
