IP address to ping or trace in order to check connectivity issues

This page lists IP addresses around the USA and EU server farms that are supposed to respond to pings.

The EU IP responds, though the US IP does not (and has not for a while).

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom (picked a random ZOS person who might respond) would you please have the page updated with an IP that does not block ICMP?

I'm trying to help a friend with a troubleshooting check list, and having him ping or traceroute something in the ESO server farm as one of the steps is important.

You can get a list of IPs ESO tries to access by opening your Task Manager, clicking on the "Performance" tab and opening the "Resource Monitor".

In the Resource Monitor, click on "Network", select ESO in the process list and look for IPs used in the Connections and Activity windows.

PS: Unfortunately, the Resource Monitor does not show UDP connections.

I'm not sure if ESO uses UDP (they really should, sigh) but to check, open a DOS box (as administrator) and type netstat /abn which will give you a list of port connections by application, including UDP.

@SirAndy I have the full range of IPs that they use for their servers, though they're blocking ICMP at their edges, so the best I can do is to hit the router in front of their data centre. Long long ago they had that IP officially sanctioned as a ping test, though someone probably made the mistake of blocking ICMP there as well.
