Blue betty - removes 1 negative effect

Doesn't seem to remove much of anything. At least not crippling grasp, which I would say is a negative effect.

Anybody else notice it failing to remove negative effects?!

Might be removing a poison effect which won't really show up as a debuff (like cost poisons.)

If so, then be thankful cause that's awesome that the Betty negates those evil things for free lol.

I noticed this too leveling up my mag warden. It seems to work best on a fresh cast without the betty already being up, but it will work sometimes when it's already up. There may be some rather long cooldown on it to offset the fact it's zero cost. Have to test to confirm but yeah it's not reliably working as-advertised.

Also, given the ability is free, even one effect removed is a bit underperforming. It should be two effects, change PvP purge to include 5 effects, with templar being the only self 5 purge+AOE heal.

Indeed.. this is probably it... should have known that it would be useless versus snares... ZOS sure likes their snares.

Aaah right snare also. So it's 3 negative effects

Well been paying attention to it... it only works like in 10% of the cases...

in PvE.. mob snares you can't remove at all.
in PvP.. I've had it remove Haunting Curse like once or twice.. but most of the time it doesnt remove anything.. even if you only have 1 effect.

Also tried to wait until betty was casted to recast... didn't make much difference.

The cost of the ability is zero and can be recast over and over... it's already balanced...

Indeed. On my stam toons I don't care if eff. purge cleanses 2 or 5 debuffs. 5400 mag cost is too damn high if you consider that you can re-apply these debuffs right away.

From what I understand there is a bug that works likes this according to some testing.

If a warden is hit with a something that applies two debuffs, that messes things up making it such that the warden can not remove anything, even when the two debuffs expire.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Would explain why it hardly ever works... since you usually get hit by a zillion debuffs.

I have experienced this as well. Single dots work just fine. Things that apply two effects at once (also things that only have am effect called like the dot on top of the snare) do not work.

I'm mostly annoyed there is no choice here, a stamplar can purge and a magplar and purge but only a magwarden can purge while a stam warden's netch has no special effect. Same with the bear, magicka has a special auto respawn, stamina should at least get extra base damage?

The Stam version provides two major buffs while magicka has the purge

(I think they're trying to provide some sort of hybrid abilities)

The stam version is more useful for most magicka builds than it is stam.

Weird how the 'stam' morph doesn't have any beneficial effect for stam.

maybe im mis-reading a LOT of peoples posts - or maybe a Lot of people are misunderstanding how skills are supposed to work so im just typing this here for my own & others clarification

blue betty, purge & ritual cleanse negative effects, which means you must already be effected by a negative effect for them to be removed

blue betty, purge & ritual do not grant immunity to negative effects, so being hit by a negative effect when your betty is out shoul not prevent the negative effect from effecting you

since imobalizing effects have their own counter (Heavy armour active skill, break free & immovability pots) it makes sense that they can not be cleansed - not that i like the fact that a cleanse doesnt counter it - it simply a rare example of logic in action in the game

It's three negative effects because it also snares.

The purge on Blue Betty is absolutely useless. You never ever cast it to purge but to get the buffs running.

What's even the use of purging one thing? In PvP you most likely have a dozen of negative effects on you and purging doesn't do anything at all because the enemy can already apply the purged debuff one second later again and again and again.

At least it's free. Unlike that expensive alliance purge that costs a stam toons half magicka pool, just to get the same debuffs reapplied to him in seconds.

Yeah, it almost never works. I'd rather have something else, instead of free broken purge.
